S-GAME has officially revealed the Phantom Blade Zero system requirements, giving PC players a much clearer idea of the hardware needed to run its upcoming wuxia action RPG.
The specifications are considerably more detailed than the preliminary information previously available for the game. Alongside minimum and recommended PC requirements, S-GAME has published separate GPU targets for players planning to use ray tracing or full path tracing.
The good news is that the standard requirements are relatively approachable for a major Unreal Engine 5 release. The catch is that both the minimum and recommended performance targets rely on upscaling.

Phantom Blade Zero Minimum System Requirements
According to the official specifications published by S-GAME, the minimum setup targets 1080p at 30 FPS with upscaling enabled.

| Component | Minimum Requirement |
|---|
| OS | Windows 10/11 64-bit |
| CPU | Intel Core i7-8700K / AMD Ryzen 5 3600 |
| RAM | 16 GB |
| GPU | NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 6GB / AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT 8GB |
| DirectX | DirectX 12 |
| Storage | SSD required |
| Performance Target | 1080p / 30 FPS with upscaling |
The GTX 1660 requirement is notable because it means players won’t necessarily need an RTX-class graphics card just to get into the game.
However, S-GAME is specifically targeting 30 FPS at this level, and upscaling will be enabled to reach that target.
Phantom Blade Zero Recommended System Requirements
Players looking for a smoother experience will need a more capable graphics card.
The Phantom Blade Zero recommended system requirements target 1440p resolution at 60 FPS, again with upscaling enabled.

| Component | Recommended Requirement |
| OS | Windows 10/11 64-bit |
| CPU | Intel Core i5-10600K / AMD Ryzen 5 5600X |
| RAM | 16 GB |
| GPU | NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti 8GB / AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT 12GB |
| DirectX | DirectX 12 |
| Storage | SSD required |
| Performance Target | 1440p / 60 FPS with upscaling |
The recommended GPU requirement puts Phantom Blade Zero within reach of plenty of mid-range gaming PCs.
An RTX 3060 Ti or RX 6700 XT is hardly cutting-edge hardware in 2026, although players should pay attention to the fact that S-GAME’s 1440p/60 target still assumes the use of an upscaler.

Phantom Blade Zero Ray Tracing Requirements
S-GAME has also provided a separate recommendation for ray tracing.
For 1080p at 60 FPS with ray tracing and upscaling enabled, the developer recommends:
- GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 8GB
- Resolution: 1080p
- Frame rate: 60 FPS
- Upscaling: Enabled
S-GAME has not listed a separate processor or RAM requirement for this mode, so it would be misleading to invent additional specifications beyond what the developer has confirmed.
The RTX 5060 requirement also indicates a sizable jump from the standard recommended RTX 3060 Ti once ray-traced effects enter the equation.

Path Tracing Will Require an RTX 5080
The requirements climb much higher for players who want the game’s most demanding graphical mode.
S-GAME recommends an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 with 16GB of VRAM for path tracing at 2160p.
The official performance target is:

| Setting | Requirement |
| GPU | NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 16GB |
| Resolution | 2160p / 4K |
| Frame Rate | 60 FPS |
| Upscaling | Enabled |
| Graphics Feature | Path Tracing |
That makes path tracing firmly a high-end option rather than something required to experience Phantom Blade Zero.
Players using older hardware can run the game without ray tracing, while the RTX 5080 target is aimed at those wanting the most demanding lighting implementation available.
How Much Storage Does Phantom Blade Zero Need?
This is one specification S-GAME has not revealed yet.
The official Phantom Blade Zero PC requirements currently state only:
SSD required
There is no confirmed installation size in GB on S-GAME’s requirements page or the game’s current Steam listing.
That distinction matters because several unofficial requirement pages have circulated estimated storage figures. Until S-GAME updates the specifications, any specific download or installation size should be treated as unconfirmed.
What we do know is that installation on an SSD is mandatory across both the minimum and recommended configurations.
16GB RAM Is Required Across Both Standard Presets
Memory requirements are much simpler.
Both minimum and recommended configurations call for 16GB of RAM.
That means moving from the 1080p minimum specification to the recommended 1440p configuration doesn’t require additional system memory. The bigger difference comes from the CPU and, particularly, the graphics card.
Minimum users need at least an Intel Core i7-8700K or Ryzen 5 3600, while the recommended configuration calls for an Intel Core i5-10600K or Ryzen 5 5600X.
Phantom Blade Zero Is Built on Unreal Engine 5
Phantom Blade Zero is being developed using Unreal Engine 5, with S-GAME combining its dark wuxia setting with fast martial-arts combat and extensive motion-capture work.
The studio says players will eventually have access to more than 30 primary weapons as well as over 20 secondary weapons known as Phantom Edges.
A recent State of Play presentation went even further, confirming more than 30 main weapons and 25 Phantom Edges while showing additional details about exploration, difficulty options and the game’s Wulin setting.
Donnie Yen is also involved with the project as a creative consultant and performs facial and motion capture for Mó Yuan.
When Does Phantom Blade Zero Release?
Phantom Blade Zero is scheduled to launch on October 29, 2026, according to S-GAME’s official website.
PlayStation notes that the game will arrive on October 28 in the United States and select regions, which also explains why some storefronts display October 28 rather than October 29.
The game is coming to PC and PlayStation 5, with the PC version available through Steam and the Epic Games Store.
With the official Phantom Blade Zero system requirements now available, PC players finally have enough information to determine whether their current hardware is ready for S-GAME’s ambitious action RPG—or whether features such as ray tracing and path tracing will require an upgrade.
