It is not the intention of the Treasure Goblin to strike fear into the hearts and brains of Diablo 4 gamers. After all, it is a non-attacking enemy that spews out riches. The unassuming demon murdered several high-level Hardcore characters, but now gamers all across Sanctuary are afraid of it.

Let us start with Killthuzad, a player in Diablo 4. According to Icy-Veins, this Hardcore character unintentionally perished to a Treasure Goblin while traversing a tier 37 Nightmare Dungeon. Killthuzad is forced to return to the character creation screen after being stunned into silence. After a while, they stand up from their gaming chair and rest their head in their hands.

What took place here? The Death Pulse affix was active on Killthuzad. This signifies that “killing a monster releases a deadly lightning pulse after a short delay.” If you closely watch the video, you will see the character instantly killed by the Death Pulse that the deceased Treasure Goblin released.

Do not forget that in Diablo 4, a Hardcore character’s death results in their permanent loss. High-level Hardcore characters have reportedly died several times because of disconnects or even while on a loading screen, according to IGN. Treasure Goblins are now joining the game.

The intention behind the Treasure Goblin in Diablo 4 is not to evoke fear in the players:-

Killthuzad is not alone. Some players think the Treasure Goblin Death Pulse is broken since it deals significantly more damage than it should. The Death Pulse affix was active while the Diablo 4 player “Faraddox” was in a tier nine Nightmare Dungeon and lost control of their Hardcore level 60 Druid. He then headed to the Blizzard forum to report this as a bug.

I had more than enough damage reductions and armor to tank anything, all previous explosions from Death Pulse affix caused almost no harm,” “In last room of this section I saw Goblin, there were no other monsters nearby (one monster left for task, no other marks on minimap). I had full life and fortify since I didn’t take any damage fighting Goblin. As soon as he died, my Druid died too.”

In Diablo 4’s Hall of Fallen Heroes, which lists lost Hardcore characters, it is stated that their deaths were caused by an “unknown killer,” according to Faraddox.

Another player named Chillout claimed that after a Treasure Goblin died while managing a tier 26 Nightmare Dungeon, they lost their level 76 Necromancer. As a casual gamer, they argued, “I am a casual player and losing 86 hours to such a bug is really bad.”
