The Witcher 3 Next-Gen Patch
When Will The Next-Gen Patch For The Witcher 3 Be Available?
The fourth quarter of 2022 has been targeted for the update’s release, however, CD Projekt president and joint CEO Adam Kiciski said that there is no firm release date at this time. Wednesday, September 7th, during the most recent results call, the announcement was made.
After a number of postponements, a remaster of The Witcher 3 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC was finally planned for release in the second quarter of 2022. It appears that we will see Geralt and the rest of the group again in 2022. The Witcher 3 upgrade pricing for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC All current owners of The Witcher 3 will receive the free update to the PS5 and Xbox Series X versions, respectively.
Additionally, The Upgrade Will Be Made Available For Free On The PC
New enhancements are coming to The Witcher 3 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Expect ray tracing effects and streamlined loading times in The Witcher 3’s upcoming update. Some speculation has it that all downloadable content for the game will also be included, but CD Projekt Red hasn’t commented on this just yet.
Improved textures are probable, as the developer has been collaborating with community modder Halk Hogan to incorporate the highly regarded The Witcher 3 HD Reworked mod into the release. One of the developers hinted in September 2020 that the improved version of The Witcher 3 would support 60 frames per second and 4K resolution. It is hoped that the remasters will also include features compatible with the DualSense and new Xbox controller, such as haptic feedback.
The Reason for the Witcher 3 HD Remaster’s Delay
The developers have stated that they “want to make things right” and that the delay is the result of “recommendations made by individuals supervising the development,” despite having previously expressed regret about the setback. Putting out games later is part of CD Projekt Red’s new approach. It would appear that the corporation would prefer not to have another launch like Cyberpunk 2077. The developer has posted an update on Twitter, which you may read about here.
Expansion content for The Witcher is available on Netflix CDPR has revealed that in addition to the free upgrade coming for Witcher 3 gamers, a fresh new set of DLC based on Netflix’s Witcher series will also be made available to users at no cost. Additionally, this fresh material won’t be reserved for the next-gen release alone.
CDPR confirmed that all platforms (PS4, Xbox One, and Switch) would have access to the downloadable content. We don’t know much about the DLC’s contents at the moment, but it’s fresh Witcher material, which is always appreciated. This concludes our knowledge about the next-gen patch for The Witcher 3.
