Once again, Suicide Squad: Destroy the Justice League has reportedly been postponed by Warner Bros. The release date of Rocksteady’s Batman: Arkham spinoff/sequel has been pushed back from May 26th to later this year.
Bloomberg’s source claims the delay was necessary to repair problems and improve areas of the game that were lagging behind, however, they add that the modifications won’t revamp many of the basic gameplay that had led to the outcry at a PlayStation event in February. The game’s need for an internet connection and the presence of cosmetic items for sale were the primary targets of fan backlash.

The next title is set in the same universe as the Batman: Arkham series, the last normal chapter of which was released nearly eight years ago, unlike Warner Bros.’s most recent superhero game, the mediocre Gotham Knights.
Kevin Conroy, a renowned voice actor who passed away last year at age 66, will make one of his final cameos in the game. In Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, he will reprise the role of Batman, who makes a cameo appearance but is not playable.
He reprised the role in Rocksteady’s Arkham Asylum, Arkham City, and Arkham Knight, having previously voiced the Dark Knight in Batman: The Animated Series. (Roger Craig Smith provided the voice of Batman in both Arkham Origins and Arkham Origins: Blackgate, despite the fact that both games were developed by separate studios under the Warner Bros. Interactive banner.)
The upcoming Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League video game will be playable on the PlayStation 5, Xbox One X/S, and PC.
I guess this answers my question of whether or not Rocksteady expected the reaction they got from that last Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League demo.
Not sure any delay can fix what ails this game, but it keeps it away from Zelda, Diablo, FF16, & SF6.https://t.co/BWhTlJjtjz
