Stalker 2 Heart Of Chornobyl Release Date

Originally scheduled for release on April 28, 2022, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl was postponed seven months, until December 7, 2022, by developer GSC Game World. In an unanticipated turn of events, GSC Game World was once again forced to delay the game after its home city of Kyiv was targeted by a Russian invasion.

Platforms

The Xbox system is the only place you can play S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chernobyl. The game is released for Microsoft’s Xbox One, Xbox One X, Xbox One S, and Microsoft Windows. The game will be accessible via Xbox Game Pass upon release. The PlayStation 5 has yet to receive a release date, but internal documents have shown that the game will only be exclusive to the device for three months.

DLC

For whatever reason, downloadable content (DLC) has never been included in a S.T.A.L.K.E.R. game before, but that’s all going to change with S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2. Two narrative extensions, which are defined as “extra large-scale additions that extend or expand the primary tale,” are planned for the game. Besides the two expansions, more downloadable content for the game is expected.

Those who purchase the game’s Ultimate Edition will also receive the season pass, giving them access to “all the post-release downloadable content in addition to the [two] story extensions.” There’s a bonus side mission available only in this edition, which may be expanded upon in future downloadable content.
