Sons of the Forest was released on PC in Early Access on February 23rd, 2023, generating anticipation among PlayStation fans that the game would be released on PS5, PS4, and PS Plus shortly.

Unfortunately, no official Sons of the Forest PS5 release date has been published, and the developer has not confirmed whether a PS5 or PS4 version of the game is in development.
Developer Endnight Games indicated in an interview that they “would love to come to console in the future,” thus there is still hope that Sons of the Forest may be released on PlayStation sometime.
The Forest was a smash on PS4 when it was launched in 2018 after a six-month delay from its initial PC release, thus we may assume that Sons of the Forest will be released on PS5 and PS4 in October 2023.
However, because the original game was not launched as an Early Access title, the developer would most likely require a significant amount of time to create Sons of the Forest before it is released on PlayStation platforms. In all likelihood, this suggests a Sons of the Forest PS5 release date of at least 2024.
Sons of the Forest is unlikely to be added to PS Plus Extra until much later than the game’s initial PS5 or PS4 release date.
The Forest was never added to any PS Plus tiers, and given how many players would be willing to simply pay for Sons of the Forest, Sony would most likely have to pay a significant fee to bring the game to PS Plus — money that the PlayStation maker isn’t known to spend on PS Plus games at all.
