Fans of the legendary King Kong will be able to experience his origins and his quest for revenge in a new action-adventure game coming to PS5 and PS4 later this year. Skull Island: Rise of Kong was developed by IguanaBee Studios and published by GameMill Entertainment and is based on the rich history of Skull Island created by Joe DeVito and Merian C. Cooper.
The game lets players take control of Kong as he fights through various environments and enemies, including the ultimate alpha predator Gaw, who killed Kong’s parents. Kong can unleash devastating combos, use his rage mode to increase his power, and roar to intimidate his foes.
He can also unlock new abilities through special events, and boss battles and discover the secrets of Skull Island’s exotic flora and fauna. The game will cost $39.99 for the standard edition and $49.99 for the digital deluxe “Colossal Edition”, which includes eight exclusive film grains, a Kong-style pack, a boss-rush mode, and a behind-the-scenes pack with artwork and soundtrack.
