“Rusted Moss” first appeared for PC players on Steam back on April 12. Along with the console launch, there’s going to be a big update coming out too. This game is a mix of adventure and action where you use a grappling hook and your weapons to move around and fight.
The game lets you aim in any direction, giving you lots of freedom to control your character. You’ll have to come up with clever ways to move around and fight off enemies like witches and machines.
The grappling hook in this game is special. It’s a bit tricky to get the hang of at first but feels great once you do. It works by using your movement to fling you forward, kind of like how rock climbing does.
There’s no one set path to follow in the game’s sad, abandoned places. You can grab onto anything covered in moss and swing around to explore.
When it comes to weapons, “Rusted Moss” steps up the game. Unlike other games where you might only aim in a few directions, this game lets you aim all around you.
You can switch between different weapons depending on what you’re facing, like getting in close with a shotgun or taking out enemies from afar with a sniper.
The bosses in this game will test how good you are with both shooting and using the grappling hook. You’ll face off against strong witches and huge machines, each with their ways to challenge you.
The story of “Rusted Moss” takes you through empty landscapes filled with sadness, showing what’s left of humanity and their rusty machines. Humans are close to losing everything because faeries are about to invade. To save themselves, humans gave their witches powerful magic stolen from the faeries.
But there’s a twist. The humans got tricked because one of their own, a baby, was swapped by the faeries with something else. This baby, Fern, grows up not knowing she’s a changeling with a hidden loyalty.
With a mysterious shadow named Puck by her side, Fern’s adventure begins to bring the faeries back into the world and close the chapter on the Age of Men.
