Shear Nonsense! Steam City-Builder Scrambles To Fix Sheep-Powered Money Machine

The developer of Manor Lords, a highly anticipated city-building game on Steam, had to make a last-minute change to how sheep work in the game to avoid players exploiting the economy.

Manor Lords is set to launch next week and has gained a lot of attention, with over 2.5 million wishlists on Steam. As the developer, Greg Styczen prepares for the early access release, some players who got early access found ways to make unlimited money using sheep.

By breeding lots of sheep and selling their wool, players could make huge profits easily.

Styczen doesn’t mind the idea of infinite money in the game, as it’s realistic that sheep can produce lots of wool. However many players pointed out that this could be exploited by exporting too much wool, so he decided to add a last-minute change.

    Read more:

Now, wool is in such oversupply globally that it’s no longer profitable to export it from your city. This change makes sense historically, as countries wouldn’t keep buying something abundant everywhere.

We’re still waiting to see how this change will affect other resources and the game’s early-access players. There’s talk about whether this should be an optional feature due to the extra management it requires, but Styczen suggests it could lead to interesting events like a sudden increase in wool demand during a cold winter, making sheep valuable again.

Helldivers 2: From Automatons To Annihilation – 2 Billion Terminids Next!

The newest Helldivers 2 Major Order is here, and it’s a big challenge: players need to defeat two billion Terminids in just about six days.

Today, on April 18, Arrowhead started a new phase of Helldivers 2’s Galactic War. Players are tasked with wiping out two billion Terminids worldwide. It sounds like a huge number, but they have six days to get it done.

Helldivers 2 Players Spot Warbond Armor
Helldivers 2 Players Spot Warbond Armor

The in-game Major Order says, “The Automaton invasion has slowed down, so we need to restock our reserves and prepare to fight back.” Helldivers 2 players have been battling against the Automaton enemies since earlier this month, and this new order comes after pushing them back from several planets.

Less than an hour after the order was given, players had already defeated 100 million Terminids. To meet the goal, they’ll need to beat around 400 million Terminids every day. At this rate, they’re doing well.

Right now, players can fight on three Terminid planets: Estanu, Hellmire, and Oshaune. The number of Terminids on a planet can change based on how many Super Earth soldiers are there, so players need to make sure they have enough planets to fight on before reaching the two billion goals.

However, developer Arrowhead might throw surprises during the Major Order, as they did in the past with Game Master Joel stopping the mech rollout during an Automaton attack. So, it might not be smooth sailing all the way through.

“Roll With It Or Trash It?” – Overwatch 2’s Wrecking Ball Guru Dismisses New Tank Ability

In Season 10, Wrecking Ball got some updates with changes to his abilities like Grappling Claw, Adaptive Shields, and Minefield.

The main change was to his shields, which can now be shared with teammates to give them extra health.

At first, this seemed like a good fit for dive compositions, where heroes like Tracer and Genji can benefit from the extra durability. But just a day after the update, players like AWW YEAH weren’t too excited about it.

He mentioned that when he dives in and uses his shields, teammates might not always take advantage of the extra health, which can leave Wrecking Ball vulnerable.

AWW YEAH suggested that the shields should last longer to be more useful, especially since they only last for a short time right now. He also pointed out that the ability requires a direct line of sight (LOS) and doesn’t work through enemy shields, which makes it tricky to use effectively.

However, he did praise the improved Grappling Claw movement, calling it “insane” and possibly needing a slight nerf.

It’s still early in Season 10, so we’ll have to wait and see how the gameplay develops, especially with the addition of the new hero Venture and buffs to Lifeweaver.

Did Sony Leak The PS5 Pro? New Video Hints at Accidental Reveal!

Sony may have accidentally revealed some details about the rumored PlayStation 5 Pro after taking down a YouTube video with a copyright strike.

    PlayStation 5 Pro Release Date
    PlayStation 5 Pro Release Date

There’s been talk for a while that Sony is working on a new version of the PlayStation 5 called the PlayStation 5 Pro, which could come out by the end of the year. Although nothing official has been announced, insiders in the gaming industry have been sharing information about the new console, including its specs and any special features that might make it appealing for players to upgrade.

One YouTube channel, Moore’s Law Is Dead, made a video discussing the PS5 Pro with the latest leaks and their thoughts on the potential console.

The video was taken down due to a copyright strike from Sony, which has made people think the information might be accurate, or at least close enough to worry Sony.

While there’s still no official confirmation, it would make sense for Sony to be working on a new console.

Last year, documents about a new version of the Xbox Series X were leaked during the Microsoft V FTC trial. Earlier this year, more details and even pictures of that new Xbox were leaked too.

Given this, it’s logical for Sony to consider releasing a more powerful version of the PlayStation 5 to keep up with Microsoft’s new hardware.

There are also rumors that Sony is already working on the PlayStation 6, which suggests that while the PS5 Pro might be a big upgrade from the current model, there are even more exciting things to come for PlayStation users.

Rumors suggest that Sony might reveal more about this mysterious console over the summer, with a potential release planned for later this year.

The NEW Warzone King? MW3 SMG Makes Enemies DISAPPEAR With Crazy TTK

No matter what changes are made to Warzone, SMGs (Submachine Guns) remain a reliable choice for firepower in the battle royale. Usually, SMGs are best for close-range combat, but some of them can perform well even at longer distances.

One such SMG gaining attention is the Striker 9. According to Warzone expert WhosImmortal, this gun stands out due to its versatility. WhosImmortal highlighted the Striker 9 in a recent video discussing SMGs, especially since some others have been weakened by updates.

WhosImmortal described the Striker 9 as “really easy to use” with a particular build, making it effective not only at close range but also in mid-range combat. He predicted that more players would start using the Striker 9 this season.

The YouTuber praised the Striker 9 for its “ridiculously good” performance and its ability to deal “great” damage even beyond 40 meters. He mentioned that the Striker 9’s Time-to-Kill (TTK) is around 850 milliseconds at that range.

Helldivers 2 Dev Dilemma: Fix The Old Or Forge Something New?

Helldivers 2 has been popular lately, with lots of players enjoying the co-op shooter and its story. But there’s a problem – the game has many bugs and crashes, which can ruin the fun. The CEO of the game’s studio, Arrowhead Game Studios, explained why they keep adding new stuff while trying to fix these issues.

Players have been speaking up about the game’s problems on places like Discord and Reddit, and the CEO, Johan Pilestedt, is listening. He responded to a Reddit post about players’ complaints and admitted that fixing bugs while adding new content is tough for their small team. They want to do both because the game industry is very competitive.

The studio is trying hard to balance fixing problems with adding new features to keep the game exciting. But it’s a big challenge for a small team. Other game studios have faced similar issues, like Rainbow Six: Siege and Payday 3. Sometimes, they have to pause new content to focus on fixing the game.

Pilestedt knows the gaming industry is tough, and falling behind could hurt the game. Many players expect regular updates, and if they stop, players might leave. It’s hard for the developers.

Arrowhead is working to find a good balance. They might need more resources to manage everything well. The key is to support the developers who are working hard to make the game better.

In the end, making and maintaining a live service game like Helldivers 2 is challenging. Developers need time and support to find the right balance that works for them and keeps players happy.

Super Savings Or Super Cheating? Helldivers 2 Glitch Sparks Developer Response

Some Helldivers 2 players are using a glitch to get Super Credits unfairly, and the game’s developer, Arrowhead, is aware of this problem.

A player on the game’s official Discord reported the issue to Arrowhead. They mentioned that there are tutorials on YouTube explaining how to exploit the glitch to get Super Credits for free. The glitch involves quitting the game quickly or shutting down the console right after earning Super Credits, which lets players keep them without earning them properly.

Arrowhead responded to the report, acknowledging the problem and thanking the player for reporting it. They assured players that they were working on fixing this exploit to ensure fair gameplay for everyone. However, it’s unclear when the fix will be ready, especially since Arrowhead is also busy addressing other issues like significant fire damage in the game.

Players can be confident that Arrowhead is taking steps to resolve this issue and prevent unfair advantages in Helldivers 2.

  • Get Over Here! New Gender-Swapped Ninja Infiltrates Mortal Kombat 1

Get Over Here! New Gender-Swapped Ninja Infiltrates Mortal Kombat 1

Mortal Kombat 1 just got a new DLC character, Ermac, today. But there’s a potential leak about another DLC character coming in the future.

A model and fashion designer named Jiwon Ra posted something interesting on Instagram. She said she provided the face model for Harumi Hasashi in Mortal Kombat 1 and hinted that she’ll be in the game as a female version of Scorpion.

Mortal Kombat 1 DLC Characters Release Date

It sounds like this version of Scorpion might not be a fully playable character. Her post suggests picking Harumi as a “Kameo” (cameo), using the hashtag #Kameo. This likely means she’ll appear in the game but not as a main character.

If this leak is real, it could mean a new Scorpion Kameo is coming in Mortal Kombat 1’s Kombat Pack 2, which hasn’t been officially announced yet.

This wouldn’t be too surprising since they did something similar with Janet Cage in Kombat Pack 1, making her an alternate version of Johnny Cage.

In the original story, Harumi was the wife of Hanzo Hasashi (Scorpion), who was killed along with their clan. But in Mortal Kombat 11’s timeline, Harumi is alive and married to Kuai Liang (another version of Scorpion).

For this Kameo, it looks like they’re exploring a different timeline where Harumi becomes Scorpion after Hanzo’s death. We don’t know yet how her moves and appearance will differ from other Scorpions, but it seems she might focus more on using swords.

Remember, this is just a leak and hasn’t been confirmed by NetherRealm Studios or Warner Bros. There’s only Jiwon Ra’s post as evidence for now.

We’ll probably have to wait several months for an official announcement, possibly around June at Final Kombat or later this summer after the current DLC finishes with Takeda.

GTA 6 Publisher Take-Two Slashes Workforce, Cancels Unannounced Games

According to The Verge, Take-Two Interactive, known for games like Grand Theft Auto and NBA 2K, is cutting costs by laying off about five percent of its global workforce and canceling some projects.

The company explained in a filing with the SEC that it is restructuring to reduce costs and won’t be hiring as much in the future. This restructuring could cost up to $200 million but is expected to save the company more than $165 million each year. The layoffs are expected to mostly finish by December 31, 2024.

A five percent reduction means around 579 out of their 11,580 employees might be affected. Take-Two hasn’t said which teams or projects will be affected. However, likely, big upcoming games like Grand Theft Auto VI won’t be affected.

This news comes during a tough time for the gaming industry, which has seen many layoffs since 2023. Take-Two is also buying Gearbox, the company behind Borderlands, for $460 million.

Activision Swings the Banhammer: 50,000+ MW3 & Warzone Cheaters Face The Wrath!

Call of Duty has been battling against cheaters for more than ten years. In 2021, Activision introduced a special anti-cheat system called ‘RICOCHET’ to fight against cheating in the game. Despite ongoing improvements to their anti-cheat technology, cheating remains a problem in games like Modern Warfare 3 (MW3) and Warzone in 2024.

Just before Season 3 started, Activision announced that they had banned 27,000 accounts due to cheating. They mentioned that more bans were expected. On April 10, they confirmed that they had indeed banned another 58,000 cheating players. This means that over 85,000 accounts were banned within just five days.

An Activision spokesperson explained to CharlieIntel that players should not trust cheaters who try to sell subscriptions to cheating tools. They emphasized that their anti-cheat team, Team RICOCHET, is actively targeting cheat vendors.

As Season 3 began and more ban waves occurred, some players in the community complained that they were wrongly banned. This was especially true for those who used unlock tools, which can lead to permanent bans.

In response to these complaints, Activision clarified to CharlieIntel that permanent bans in Call of Duty are not mistakes. They stated that all permanent bans are final, and there are no false permanent bans according to their policies.

Mists Of Pandaria Remix Loses Steam: World Of Warcraft Removes Key Feature

World of Warcraft made changes to their WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria event announcement. Originally, they mentioned adding more character slots for players.

This would have been useful for those who already have 60 characters on their account. However, they quietly removed this part of the announcement.

Now, players who want to join the WoW Remix event will need to use one of their existing 60-character slots. Even though Blizzard might still add more slots in the future with Patch 10.2.7, it’s uncertain based on the announcement change.

Most players don’t have 60 characters, especially all at maximum level, but some who love having many characters (“altaholics”) may need to say goodbye to one to participate.

The WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria event is a popular throwback experience with faster leveling and lots of new rewards. It connects to the Dragonflight lore with Infinite Dragons, making it exciting for collectors, raiders, and lore fans.

Meanwhile, the Plunderstorm PvP event is ending on April 30, but there will be double Renown gains in the last two weeks. Players can still enjoy this pirate-themed event before Patch 10.2.7 arrives around mid-May.

Lightsabers Are Back! Everything We Know About Fortnite & Star Wars Day 2024

Since 2019, Fortnite has teamed up with Star Wars, and it’s been really popular. The first crossover happened when “Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker” came out. They added Rey and Finn skins and special Lightsaber weapons to the game.

Every year since then, Fortnite has had Star Wars crossovers. They’ve brought in characters like The Mandalorian, Luke Skywalker, Darth Maul, Darth Vader, and others.

Now, in 2024, they’re doing it again for the fourth time. This new collaboration is coming just before Star Wars Day on May 4th.

Say Goodbye To Always-Online! No Rest For The Wicked Launch Trailer Promises Freedom

I’m a big fan of Ori And The Blind Forest, so I’m excited for Moon Studios’ new game, No Rest For The Wicked. This game is an online action RPG that’s quite different from Ori—it’s all about intense fights against creepy monsters covered in mud and gore.

In a recent early access release trailer, Moon Studios announced that there will be no microtransactions, no always-online requirement, and no anti-cheat software bundled in the game. This is great news for players who prefer straightforward gaming experiences.

The game features a variety of cool weapons like fireball staffs, curved blades, bows, claymores, spears, fiery broadswords, and scimitars.

The monsters you’ll face are also pretty unique—lots of tall, thin creatures with floating tendrils and capes, almost like they could have been basketball players if they weren’t so creepy-looking.

No Rest For The Wicked will launch on Steam early access on April 18th. The early access version will include the first chapter of the story, many weapons, bosses, additional quests, and a dungeon called “Cerim Crucible” that you can play over and over.
