NHL 24 Release Date
NHL 24 is coming to Xbox and PlayStation on October 6, 2023. But if you want to play it on a PC or Nintendo Switch, you might have to wait a really long time because they haven’t had a game from this series in many years.
NHL 24 will come in two versions: a regular one and a fancier one called the Deluxe Edition (they call it X-Factor Edition). The regular version costs $59.99 if you play it on Xbox One or PlayStation 4.
NHL 24 Gameplay
After hearing what players had to say in the NHL 24 community playtest, the game developers are going to give players more choices. They’ll add something called Hybrid Controls, in addition to the Skill Stick and Total Control options.

On August 21 at 11 AM EST / 4 PM GMT, they showed a new video trailer for NHL 24 World of Chel. This is the second trailer they’ve released after announcing when the game will come out. This new trailer is all about the online single-player mode called World of Chel.
In NHL 24, they’ve made it easier for fans to play together, no matter which mode they like. They’ve added some cool stuff to World of Chel. You can now make your character look even cooler with a new customization area.
There’s also a new way to earn rewards by just playing games. Plus, they’re adding a fun 3v3 mode for a more laid-back experience without affecting your EA Sports Hockey League ranking. So, you’ll have more fun and less waiting in the game!

NHL 24 Early Access
You can play NHL 24 before everyone else in two ways.
- If you buy the special X-Factor Edition before the game’s release, you can start playing on October 3, 2023, which is 3 days before the regular release date.
- If you have an EA Play or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription, you can also play early. But, with this option, you can only play the game for 10 hours as a trial.
NHL 24 Game Modes
Most likely, your favorite game modes will still be available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, and PS5. Modes like Franchise Mode, World of Chel, Be a Pro, and HUT will be there again.
