While playing MyCareer in NBA 2K24, you will have access to enhancements that will improve every element of your game. Takeovers are the name given to these enhancements.

They span a wide range of abilities, both offensive and defensive. These were previously known as badges, but are now presented as icons that can be triggered when their associated meters are filled.

While they continue to provide powerful boosts on the digital court, they may bring problems. All of the Takeover icons in NBA 2K24 are detailed here.

NBA 2K24 Takeovers

There are five types of takeover icons:

Finishing
Shooting
Playmaking
Defense/Rebounding
Physicals

These are rather obvious categories, and their enhancements will have an effect on the associated categories:

Finishing will affect your ability to finish when you are close to the basket.
Shooting will have an impact on your ability on the field.
Your ability to make plays will determine how efficient you are at passing.
When not in possession of the ball, defense and rebounding will bring benefits.
Physicals will decide how swift and decisive your player is.

It would be best if you made positive contributions on the court to fill their respective meters. This can be accomplished by scoring points, receiving assists, grabbing rebounds, and so on.
