We first spotted Manor Lords a few years back when its combination of Crusader Kings-style simulation, Ages of Empires-style city-building, and epic conflicts a la Total War made it a game to keep an eye on.
We weren’t alone in our excitement, as the ambitious medieval strategy game – produced by a single developer, no less – soared up the Steam charts to become one of the platform’s most wanted games.
We’ve received another taste of Manor Lords two and a half years later, owing to its reappearance during today’s Xbox Partner Preview stream, which showed off more of its ambitious gameplay and disclosed a release date.
Manor Lords Launch Date
Manor Lords will be a new Day One Xbox Game Pass Ultimate release in April 2024, according to a recent Xbox Partner Preview event. The upcoming medieval strategy game Manor Lords will be available as part of PC Game Pass on April 26, 2024.

Manor Lords was initially a PC-only project. Therefore, only PC Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will be able to play it. Manor Lords joins an already lengthy list of Xbox Game Pass releases set to arrive in the coming year.
At this moment, Manor Lords was introduced several years ago. Slavic Magic, the developer, has been quite active on social media, offering brief videos and insights into the production process.
Slavic Magic has gone to great lengths to highlight all facets of the game, including its medieval realism. Unsurprisingly, it has gained quite a following. The release of Manor Lords in April 2024 is already greatly anticipated.
Slavic Magic presented a new trailer for Manor Lords as part of the recent Xbox Partner Preview event, which includes two essential news.
The first news was that Manor Lords will be a Day One Xbox Game Pass Ultimate release, initially available only on PC. The second announcement was the finalized release date for Manor Lords, which will be April 26.
Slavic Magic does state that the April 2024 release of Manor Lords will be an early-access edition of the game, not the final release.

It has been announced that Manor Lords’ early access edition will include fundamental components such as city-building, army management and battles, territory claims, and a limited number of modes and scenarios. The complete launch will significantly build on that content. It is unclear when Manor Lords will be completely operational.
It was surprising to see Manor Lords included in the Xbox Partner Preview event. PC games continue to be a priority of Microsoft’s Game Pass ambitions, but it’s unusual for games to be highlighted so prominently.
Manor Lords, a medieval strategy game with sophisticated economic and social aspects, is likewise a niche project. Manor Lords had to have impressed enough that it couldn’t be overlooked.
The addition of Manor Lords to the roster of future Game Pass games makes 2024 appear extremely appealing. Hundreds of games have already been confirmed for Xbox Game Pass next year, but few have release dates. Persona 3 Reload will be available on February 2nd, and Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes will be available on April 24th. As the new year approaches, expect that list to expand.
