Little Nightmares 3 Has Been Delayed to 2025

Little Nightmares 3 Release Date

Little Nightmares 3 has been delayed from 2024 to 2025, Supermassive Games and Bandai Namco Europe announced.

In a post on X/Twitter, the team said they need more time to make the game as good as they and the fans expect. They didn’t give any more details. Supermassive Games laid off about 90 employees in March 2024, two months before this delay.

Please do bear with us, little ones, for we need a little extra time to prepare your visit.

Rest assured, we promise to show you a proper welcome. #LittleNightmares III pic.twitter.com/fqxsOPzkFD

The team said, “Supermassive Games and Bandai Namco Europe have worked hard to make the best game possible. We can’t wait for you to return to the Nowhere, but we want to ensure the game is great. Quality is critical to us, and we know you feel the same. That’s why we decided to release the game in 2025.”

This is sad news for those excited about the third game in the spooky adventure series, but more information will come later in summer 2024. “Thank you for your patience and support,” they said.

Little Nightmares 3 has been quiet since it was announced at Gamescom in August 2023. The reveal trailer showed two new characters, Low and Alone, and said the game can be played solo with an AI friend or a real friend in a two-player co-op. It will be available for PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

Update on Little Nightmares III Development and Delay

Little Nightmares 3 Has Been Delayed to 2025

“Ever since Little Nightmares III was announced at Gamescom last year, we have been excited to see our community’s enthusiasm. The teams at Supermassive Games and Bandai Namco Europe have been working hard to make the best game possible,” says the Little Nightmares team.

“We can’t wait for you to return to the Nowhere, but we also want to make sure the game is made with care. Quality is critical to us, and we know you feel the same. So, we have decided to delay the release to 2025. We will share more about Little Nightmares III later this summer. Thank you for your patience and support.”

It’s exciting that we will hear more about Little Nightmares 3 this summer. For now, we know the game will focus on Low and Alone, who are stuck in the Spiral and trying to escape the Nowhere.

The Spiral is described as a group of scary places, and Low and Alone will need to work together to survive in a dangerous world and escape a bigger threat in the shadows. Little Nightmares 3 will allow you to play online with a friend or an AI companion.

While waiting for more news about Little Nightmares 3, we can still enjoy Little Nightmares 2, one of the best Xbox platformers with its mix of horror and adventure.
