The Helldivers 2 player count peaked at 409,367 on Steam alone, however, it is steadily increasing.
In the days after its release, interest in Helldivers 2 has soared, so servers have been unable to meet demand. It’s anyone’s guess how quickly the concurrent player count will increase once server stability is restored.
It’s worth mentioning, however, that this player count excludes those on PlayStation and solely includes Steam. As a simultaneous debut on PS5 and PC, the first in Sony history, there’s a good likelihood that just as many, if not more, will jump into a fight on PS5.
Aside from sales numbers, player data is rarely made public, thus we may never know exactly what the overall combined player count peak is.
