We reported earlier today that a Horizon Forbidden West downloadable content pack may be in the works since Sylens actor Lance Reddick tweeted (and then deleted) that he is working on a project for the game.
While that was still up for debate, checking out the Guerrilla Game website provides more evidence that downloadable content is in the pipeline. Some intriguing text on the careers tab hints at future Forbidden West material.

The job description for senior character artist reads, “Guerrilla’s Character Art team is a multidimensional collection of artists with a singular focus: bringing the different tribes of Horizon’s realms to life” (first spotted by Tech4Gamers).
“This worldwide group of creative problem solvers generates a wide range of material while maintaining a close-knit culture by working closely with colleagues on other Guerrilla teams and external partners.”
Guerrilla seems to be expanding its team responsible for creating the “various tribes of Horizon’s worlds” in the game’s character models. Fans of Forbidden West know that a sequel is likely in the works, but now is probably not the time to employ a character artist; the position was likely posted with the intention of recruiting for downloadable content.
Earlier, we stated that Sylens’ actor, Lance Reddick, tweeted, “Hard at work… in a session for Horizon Forbidden West!” Motion capture dots covering the actor’s face may be seen in the accompanying video. I guess he didn’t receive the message that the DLC wasn’t supposed to be revealed just yet, since he pulled it down pretty darn fast.
Together, this and the aforementioned job post prove without a reasonable doubt that Guerrilla is really creating new material for Horizon: Forbidden West. And if that isn’t enough, back in May, users found a hidden area of the Forbidden West map, complete with a building perched atop a hill and many of the dynamic climbing ledges that Aloy utilizes to explore the globe. Maybe this will be included in the next material.
