Honkai Star Rail is preparing to unveil the huge Penacony territory, and with it, Trailblazers will see the debut of a number of new characters. Various web leakers have worked tirelessly to provide sneak peeks at upcoming characters.
In addition, HoYoverse has officially shown a number of 5-star and 4-star units to promote new content. This article contains confirmed and speculative banner information for versions 2.0 through 2.6.

As of writing, the version 2.0 banner details do not count as leaks because HoYoverse has already published them, with the update coming out in less than two days. The following are the characters that will be officially published in the patch:
- 1st half: Black Swan (Wind/ Nihility) and Imbibitor Lunae (Imaginary/ Destruction) as 5-stars, with Misha (Ice/ Destruction) as a 4-star unit.
- 2nd half: Sparkle (Quantum/ Harmony) and Jing Yuan (Lightning/ Erudition) as 5-stars.
Black Swan, Sparkle, and Misha will be introduced as new characters. However, the Honkai Star Rail v2.0 can be pre-downloaded to PC, Android, and iOS devices.

The good thing about Star Rail is that many of its prospective characters, particularly from the Penacony region, have already been revealed by HoYoverse. The individuals that created the version 2.1 banners are listed below:
- 1st half: Acheron (Lightning/ Nihility) will be featured as a 5-star unit.
- 2nd half: Aventurine (Imaginary/ Preservation) as a 5-star character, with Gallagher (Fire/ Abundance) as a 4-star unit.
The cover art for all Honkai Star Rail v2.1 characters has been officially revealed in the newest drip marketing campaign. Acheron, in particular, is one of the most anticipated 5 stars, as she bears a striking similarity to Raiden Mei, the Herrscher of Thunder from Honkai Impact 3rd.

Here’s a list of leaked characters who are scheduled to be introduced in version 2.2 and later:
- Firefly
- Robin (Physical/ Harmony)
- Boothill (Physical/ Hunt)
- Duke Inferno
- Akash
- Caterina
- Constance
- Dubra
Many of these characters, including Firefly and Duke Inferno, still have unknown elements and paths. However, because they are all tied to Penacony, there is a good likelihood that they will appear in one of the banners in the v2.6 release.
Firefly and Robin are both scheduled to make their debut in patch 2.2.
