Hogwarts Legacy In 2023: The upcoming release of Hogwarts Legacy appears to have the potential to be a blockbuster movie in 2023. On paper, the upcoming year seems busy with the release of new video games.
In addition to finally releasing Hogwarts Legacy in early February, WB Games has many other games coming out this year, including The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Resident Evil 4, Starfield, Diablo 4, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, and many more.
With all this in mind, Hogwarts Legacy undoubtedly has some tough competition, but the eagerly anticipated Wizarding World game is off to a flying start. According to data from Amazon, Hogwarts Legacy is the PS5 game currently selling the most copies overall.
Although its release is one month away, Hogwarts Legacy outsells games like Sonic Frontiers, Elden Ring, and Marvel’s Midnight Suns. The game is presently ranked #6 on PS4. At the same time, it is #4 on Xbox Series X.
Given that Hogwarts Legacy is so near to release (which inevitably results in more pre-orders), it is evident that these statistics are somewhat biased. Still, they nonetheless serve as an excellent indication of the level of fan interest in the game.
For a second reason, the Hogwarts Legacy game may become the best-selling game of 2023: Activision may decide not to release a new Call of Duty game this year. According to earlier sources, call of Duty will take its first release-year break in more than a decade, but the publisher hasn’t officially stated it yet.

Given that every Call of Duty game annually ends up becoming the best-selling game for the year in which it debuts, this undoubtedly leaves the door open for a different game to win the top spot in 2023.
Hogwarts Legacy is scheduled to launch on February 10 for the PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC if you haven’t already marked that date on your calendar. While the game’s Nintendo Switch version is scheduled to release on July 25, those on PS4 and Xbox One will have to wait until April 4.
