High on Life is a first-person shooter game developed by Squanch Games, the studio founded by Justin Roiland, the co-creator of Rick and Morty. The game features Roiland’s voice as Kenny, a talking gun accompanying the player on a hilarious adventure across various planets.
The game was released in December 2022 for Xbox and PC, but it seems that PlayStation fans will soon enjoy it. According to a recent leak, a PlayStation 4 version of High on Life was found in the console’s database, suggesting that a port is in the works and might be announced soon.
The leak was spotted by a Twitter user who shared a screenshot of the game’s update file on Orbispatches, a website that archives all the updates for PlayStation games. The game also has Trophy lists for PS4 and PS5, which can be viewed on Exophase.
The PlayStation backend revealed the existence of a PS4 Version titled “High on Life.”

The game currently has a Metacritic score of 69 for Xbox and PC versions. Squanch Games is still developing the game, as a DLC titled High On Knife is planned to release in the fall of 2023. The DLC will feature Michael Cusack, another popular voice actor and co-creator of Smiling Friends, as the new voice for the main weapon character.
It is unclear if Roiland will return as Kenny for any future content, as he resigned from Squanch Games earlier this year due to a legal controversy involving domestic violence charges, which were later dismissed.
High on Life is expected to launch on PlayStation consoles soon, but no official announcement or release date has been made yet. Stay tuned for more updates on this comical FPS game.
