Halo Infinite New Mode: Halo Infinite’s single-player campaign and free multiplayer now have a clear separation, but could PvE action someday make its way into multiplayer? Maybe something along the lines of the traditional Firefight cooperative wave defense mode?
Similarly, Halo broadcaster UberNick recently stated on Twitter that PvE options for multiplayer in Halo Infinite are needed. Lead designer for Forge Michael Schorr quickly responded. Very intriguing, hmm!
Although Schorr mentions in another tweet that they’re “working on the best way to incorporate campaign AI into Forge,” he doesn’t say what this PvE option would entail. Does that imply that gamers will be given the tools to design their PvE modes in Forge?
There would be nothing wrong with that since some fan favorites methods have been created in Forge over the years, but Schorr seems to hint at something more.
It should be noted that Certain Affinity, the Halo Infinite support firm, has reportedly been working on a “new and interesting” mode or method of playing the game for some time.
We don’t know what Certain Affinity is working on in detail, but rumors and speculation have it that it’s a battle royale or, at the very least, something that Fortnite and Apex Legends fans would enjoy.
Additionally, the mode is said to be more “newcomer-friendly,” and a PvE experience that enables new players to team up with seasoned players to battle AI adversaries would undoubtedly fit the bill. Of course, all of this is currently just conjecture.

Halo Infinite Dev Reveals Hit Pokémon-inspired Forge Mode
More than expected, Halo Infinite Forge mode benefits the game. Digletts (like the Pokemon) is a fan-made Forge mode that has just come to light as being quite helpful to the development team.
According to Kotaku, a community manager for 343 Industries named John Junyszek recently tweeted a question asking followers to call their favorite Forge game.
A competitive Halo player named Linz reacted with Digletts, and it was at that point, Junyszek disclosed that this mode has aided the team with shot registrations as well as “latency and networking.”

Players in Diglett’s mini-game are thrown into a ground-level hole from which they cannot escape and given just a sniper rifle while encircled by other players. They leave nothing except their head exposed for other players to shoot them in the head if they decide to rise and peep out from the hole.
