GTA Online Weekly Update

Rockstar Games has launched a new GTA Online update. This is a simple patch that addresses a few issues. Some users were surprised to see an update emerge unexpectedly on their PS5. At the time of recording, this update had only been released on the PlayStation 5.

The download size is roughly 200 MB. Here’s a screenshot of the PS5 update being downloaded, thanks to @Gtamen.

Rockstar Support has posted the patch notes on their website, which we have listed below.

Fixes

  • Fixed an issue that resulted in a loss of audio when using Dolby Atmos
  • Fixed an issue that could result in a crash when exiting to the Landing Page

These types of upgrades in between big content updates only occur when critical fixes are required. In this scenario, GTA V crashed on the landing page, and the audio was also falling out.

Another thing Rockstar Games released today was a tunable background update; at this time, we are not sure what it contains.

However, a background update was issued yesterday, and thanks to Tez2, we know what it includes:

  • Fixes a bug causing Auto Shop Client Deliveries to disappear and customization orders to be bugged out
  • Fixes a bug where the Nightclub chair disappears and the player is stuck not being able to exit the building.
  • Fixes a bug causing missions launched from the Nightclub or Vehicle Warehouse computer to not launch properly.
  • Fixes a bug where a second player or more ends up stuck inside the building after the intro cutscene during VLP Intelligence.
  • Patches out an Acid Lab super glitch.
  • Patches out Account Duplication glitch.
