The present-day has been full of wonderful surprises with a flavor reminiscent of video games. Sony has released the story, God Of War Ragnarok Trailer, capping up a state of play that was interesting but otherwise unremarkable.

God Of War Ragnarok Trailer

Ragnarok depicts the return of Kratos and Atreus as the two appear to fend off (or, maybe, instigate) the arrival of Ragnarok, which is the end of the world in Norse mythology. Ragnarok is the latest installment in the God of War series. As the father and son strange couple continue on their journey, it would appear that they make new friends and enemies along the way as they slaughter any living creature that stands in their way.

The trailer discusses fate, and it shows Kratos teaching his companions the lessons he has painfully learned through experience about what it means to fight the fate that destiny has laid out for them. And it appears that Atreus, just like his father, has secrets of his own, which will need him to establish an even deeper sense of trust with his notoriously stern and ruthless father.

Ragnarok appears to be a worthy sequel to the history established by God of War, which was an unexpected treat coming from a franchise that was far more well-known for its boobs and blood than it was for its sadness.

The story trailer also provided us with some gameplay footage, which may have been intended to go along with the new controller with a Ragnarok theme that was shown. In addition to his Leviathan Axe, Kratos now also makes use of his Blades of Chaos, which he obtained in the first game. His usual armory also includes the Leviathan Axe.

In the clip, it was shown that he was tearing foes apart with the flaming blades and utilizing them to whip around the landscape, just like he did in the previous God of War series. We can only hope that puzzle-solving and platforming will play a more significant role in this game than they did in the one before it.

The plot teaser also provided a sneak peek at the new worlds we’ll get to explore and the new foes we’ll have to contend with once Thor arrives trying to… wait, never mind, I’m not going to give anything away; I’m not going to spoil anything. Play the first game and educate yourself as much as you can before Ragnarok brings an end to the world on November 9th. You have plenty of time left.
