It’s been a while since Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 was released, and players got to experience a completely new way of playing the game, with significant changes to traditional Battle Royale gameplay and the addition of three new game modes, namely LEGO Fortnite, Rocket Racing, and Fortnite Festival.
While this season’s hotfixes included Winterfest 2023 and some balancing tweaks across all game modes, a significant upgrade has not yet arrived.
The first major content update, v28.10, is set to launch on January 23, 2024, and will include new material for LEGO Fortnite, Fortnite Festival, Rocket Racing, and Battle Royale modes.

Fortnite Update 28.10
Petercopter and Super Styles unlock
The next patch 28.10 will include a new set of Weekly Quests for Week 8, unlocking the Quest Rewards section and revealing the much-anticipated Petercopter glider, among other things. To access the cosmetic goods, players must accomplish a particular amount of tasks and own the Battle Pass.
The update will also reveal the super level styles for Battle Pass skins in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1, which players may obtain after completing all Bonus Rewards. These styles can be obtained by paying 25 Battle Stars apiece to unlock the final one at level 200.
Solid Snake skin unlock
The latest Fortnite update will also allow Battle Pass owners to claim the Solid Snake skin by completing a series of specialized objectives.

Each cosmetic item in the Solid Snake set will be unlocked after finishing a quest, up to and including the Solid Snake skin and an additional style on Page 2.
Kinetic Blade, Creepin’ Cardboard, Augments and more unvaults
According to various sources, the Kinetic Blade, Six Shooter gun, and Revolver may return in Fortnite version 28.10. The Kinetic Blade was last seen in Chapter 4 of Season 4, as a fabled weapon that players may obtain after beating the Revenant Kado Thorne boss.

Furthermore, reports indicate that the Creepin’ Cardboard item seen in the Chapter 5 Season 1 teaser will be unlocked, and players will be able to use stealth to penetrate Society Mansions on the map.
Finally, the update includes a probable return of Reality Augments, which have been requested by players since the start of the current Fortnite season.
LEGO Fortnite content update
LEGO Fortnite has had no substantial updates since its first release in December 2023, despite multiple balance modifications and hotfixes. Now, leaks have hinted at new LEGO Fortnite items that were added to the files during Winterfest 2023 and will be added to the game with the next patch.
LEGO Fortnite is working on a “Rift” tier for some items such as:
– Rift Sword
– Rift Hammer

These goods include Rift-powered items such as the Rift Hammer, Rift Sword, and Rift Crossbow, among others, which will alter players’ gameplay experiences in LEGO Fortnite. Players are also expecting that the upcoming update will include traversal goods and rideable beasts.
LEGO Fortnite ICON skins
With the 28.10 update, Fortnite players will also have LEGO styles for ICON series skins from content producers like Ali-A, Chica, Lachlan, SyherPK, and more.

These styles will be available for free to existing skin owners, and players hope to see similar styles for Icon series skins for artists and other celebrities.
Balance Changes, Rocket Racing, Festival & more
In addition to new content, gamers may expect balancing changes and hotfixes in the core Battle Royale, LEGO Fortnite, Rocket Racing, and Festival game modes.

Since there has been no word on any new content for Rocket Racing and Festival modes, it will be interesting to see what tweaks and additions are included in the Fortnite update.
