We knew it was going to happen, but we didn’t know exactly when. Now, Square Enix has just said that Final Fantasy XIV Online is already on Xbox starting March 21st, after finishing its open beta that’s been happening since last month.
This week, there are already some fantastic games coming to Game Pass. You don’t want to miss Lightyear Frontier, which comes out on the 19th.
The game will be available at 1 am (PDT) and you can get it from the Microsoft Store in different versions.
Final Fantasy XIV Online Xbox Release Date
This week is a big one for Final Fantasy XIV Online as it officially launches on Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. It’s moving out of its testing phase, called “beta,” and will be available in six different versions on the Microsoft Store starting this Thursday.
To be precise, Final Fantasy XIV Online was already released at 1 am PT / 4 am ET / 8 am GMT on March 21st. From this time, everyone can download the free trial version, and there will also be five paid versions for sale on the Xbox Store.

Here are the different versions of FINAL FANTASY XIV Online available for Xbox:
- FINAL FANTASY XIV Online Starter Edition:
- For new players.
- Includes three titles: the base game, A Realm Reborn, and the first and second expansions, Heavensward and Stormblood.
- Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members can download it for free until April 19.
- FINAL FANTASY XIV: Endwalker:
- Players get access to main quests and content from the Shadowbringers and Endwalker expansions.
- Requires the FINAL FANTASY XIV Starter Edition to play.
- FINAL FANTASY XIV: Endwalker Collector’s Edition:
- Includes special in-game bonus items.
- Requires the FINAL FANTASY XIV Starter Edition to play.
- FINAL FANTASY XIV Online Complete Edition:
- The most comprehensive edition for new players.
- Includes A Realm Reborn, Heavensward, Stormblood, Shadowbringers, and Endwalker expansions.
- FINAL FANTASY XIV Online Complete Collector’s Edition:
- Contains bonus items from previous Collector’s Editions.
- FINAL FANTASY XIV Online Free Trial:
- Play for free up to level 70.
- Experience main quests and content from A Realm Reborn, Heavensward, and Stormblood expansions with no time restrictions.
