The creation of a growth elixir, which is required for the latter steps of the quest, cannot proceed without the soil. The issue is that fertile soil is not excavated in the same way that regular soil is. You can’t just go around with a shovel and start digging wherever you want. Instead, you will have to put in a lot of work cultivating the land.
The encouraging news is that you’ll be able to carry out farming in any location and throughout any biome. However, if you do not already have a huge farm, you will need to prepare a fairly large plot of land and begin planting crops as soon as possible.
When crops are harvested, rich soil may fall to the ground; however, the likelihood of finding it is quite low. I had to plant hundreds of wheat crops in order to collect enough material to answer the question correctly, which required ten clumps of rich soil. Hundreds!
My recommendation is that you get wheat seeds from Goofy in the Peaceful Meadow because they are the crops that develop the quickest in Disney Dreamlight Valley, and they will be ready to harvest in just about a minute. They are affordable, too, so you won’t have to worry about wasting a lot of money on this venture. Simply continue in this manner until you have accumulated sufficient fertile soil.
The fact that the game’s developer, Gameloft, appears to have fixed the flaws that affected farming is even more encouraging news. Previously, I was unable to really plant automatically (and later harvest) by holding down the A button.
It required a great number of button presses on the user’s part. However, this issue has been resolved, and you are now able to sow and harvest crops in a reasonable amount of time. It didn’t take very long at all despite the fact that I had to actually plant hundreds of wheat crops.
During the course of this work, however, there were periods when I went dozens of crops without finding any rich soil, and during those times, I questioned whether or not I was still doing it correctly.
I was, and all I had to do was keep going at it. Because of Mickey, I was able to harvest a greater quantity of wheat, but the quality of the soil remained the same. This is not an instance in which enlisting the assistance of a companion who is knowledgeable in gardening can result in a doubling of the amount lost.
