OK, so you’ve got a PS5 and you’re looking to scare the living daylights out of yourself. However, what is the top PS5 horror games to play this Halloween? There’s nothing like a gloomy evening to curl up with a spooky game and get lost in some shiver-inducing antics, in my opinion. If that’s the case, you’ve come to the correct place.

10 Best PS5 Horror Games: DARQ is number 3 ❤️ When I was starting on this journey, I knew nothing about game development. I wasn’t afraid to have foolishly big dreams though. As foolish as they seemed back then, it’s humbling to see them come true.https://t.co/aQlaBJKNC2

Resident Evil’s Village

Capcom’s latest entry in the long-running series is a grand, gothic horror adventure featuring Ethan Winters, who last appeared in Resident Evil 7, returning to save his kidnapped daughter. Following this is a medley of puzzle-solving, exploring, and blood-splattering action supported by one of the most outlandish narratives in the series’ history. However, you shouldn’t let that deter you.

With a Metroidvania-style progression not seen since the original games, a magnificent bestiary that eclipses anything we’ve seen before, huge bosses, and some truly stomach-knotting moments of suspense and fear, Resident Evil Village is one of the series’ largest titles to date. The best horror romp on PS5 so yet, especially with the addition of some tasty treasures!

The Plague And Childhood

A Plague Tale: Innocence on PlayStation 5 is a breathtaking and eye-opening enhancement over the already magnificent PlayStation 4 version of the game, and it is without a doubt the centerpiece of the July 2021 PlayStation Plus line-up.

Players take on the roles of noble-born twins Amicia and Hugo De Rune and explore the bleak hellscape of Middle Ages France as the country writhes and struggles under the weight of an enormous rat plague. Thanks to its stunning visuals in 4K at 60 frames per second with vastly better lighting and shadow effects, A Plague Tale: Innocence is just as necessary a horror game in 2021 as it was in 2019. If you want in, you better act fast.

House Of Ashes, Volume 3 Of The Dark Pictures Anthology

House of Ashes, the third installment in a series of anthology horror games, is a stunning, terrifying experience that can be enjoyed alone, with friends locally, or online. Players assume the roles of a US Special Forces team and an Iraqi soldier as they clash and explore a long-lost cavern that hides an ancient and terrifying evil.

House of Ashes is one of the most important horror games on any platform because it mixes heart-stopping dread, Hollywood production qualities, and a non-linear storyline.

Fourth-Visual Appearance

Visage is a first-person psychological horror thriller that takes you in a steadily transforming mansion filled with demonic ghosts, murdered families, and horrific memories. It is widely considered to be one of the scariest horror games released in recent years, regardless of platform.

Visage is a top-tier PS5 horror game that isn’t getting nearly enough love despite its amazing blend of full-on, pant-wetting jump scares and the kind of slower-tempo dread that will keep you up at night.

Issue Of The Observer: A Reappraisal Of The System

The much-anticipated Observer: System Redux, developed by Bloober Team for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, features a dazzling visual update, brand-new story material, and native compatibility for the system’s DualSense controller. The Observer has never been presented better than this, for both newcomers and longtime followers.

Observer: System Redux is a fantastic showcase for the PlayStation 5’s enhanced technical prowess, with its gorgeously realistic dark cyberpunk world to explore and its stunning usage of ray-tracing and other visual pleasures.

Dead Of Day

Dead by Daylight has up to four players working together to flee from a fifth player-controlled killer, making it one of the most horrific online multiplayer experiences possible. Though it’s fair to say that the modest PS4 hardware couldn’t truly get the most out of the game, Dead by Daylight is incredibly nerve-wracking stuff because of the huge array of strategies, unique abilities, and deep progression at your disposal.

Dead by Daylight is a fantastic horror game, and the PlayStation 5 version, which includes a beautiful new update at no extra cost, is the definitive version to play. The PS5 version of Dead by Daylight is now a must-have for horror game fans thanks to its improved detail, higher resolution visuals, and locked 60 frames per second.

The City That Drowns

Fans of Lovecraftian horror will enjoy The Sinking City, in which they take on the role of a private eye sent to the half-submerged village of Oakmont to uncover the secrets of a mysterious cult.

The Sinking City is a bleak, open-world detective adventure that leans heavily towards Lovecraftian horror in a way that few other games have been able to. The Sinking City has been significantly upgraded from the PS4 version for the PS5, with a native 4K resolution presentation, blazing frame rates of 60, and enhanced lighting and shadow effects.

Remastered Version Of Alan Wake

Alan Wake Remastered, Remedy’s remake of the cult horror classic, is as compelling as it was when it was first released 11 years ago. The town of Bright Falls is drenched in the atmosphere as you fight possessed enemies known as the Taken using a flashlight and traditional guns, all while taking advantage of the game’s enhanced lighting effects, visuals, and silky-smooth frame rate.

The basic gameplay of Alan Wake is broken up into episodes like TV shows, with climactic story moments and intense battles bookending each chapter. This helps Remedy to build up your anticipation for the next significant plot point, keeping you engaged with Wake’s tragic story. Alan Wake Remastered is a throwback to a simpler time while still providing a satisfying experience thanks to its abundance of trinkets and crunchy gameplay.

Martha’s Body Has Been Found

In Martha is Dead, players assume the role of the sad protagonist’s twin and must investigate the circumstances surrounding her untimely demise in this first-person psychological horror game set in Italy during World War II.

Martha is Dead, set in wartime Italy and featuring a somber reflection on family and sorrow in the midst of conflict, is a multifaceted horror experience unlike any other. The entire game is voice-acted in native Italian.
