    “Players can look forward to some remakes that will let us revisit and modernize some of our older Assassin’s Creed games. These older games still have rich worlds.”

    One reason for this is Ubisoft’s plan to focus more on Assassin’s Creed in the future, including releasing games more often. Guillemot also mentioned that Assassin’s Creed Codename Hexe, the next main game after this year’s Assassin’s Creed Shadows, will be very different from what we have seen so far:

    “There will be a lot of different experiences. We aim to release Assassin’s Creed games more regularly, but each game will offer something new. For example, Assassin’s Creed Hexe will be very different from Assassin’s Creed Shadows. We want to surprise people.”

    Let’s hope that releasing many Assassin’s Creed games in the coming years won’t lead to “Ubisoft fatigue.”

    Which Games Will Be Remade?

    We don’t know which games Ubisoft will bring back yet, but there are rumors of a Black Flag remake, so that might happen. It’s likely that the first few games will also be targeted for remakes. Anything released for the PS3 generation and earlier might be considered for remakes.

    The demo has some limits, but it gives a good idea of the early stages of the game. You can play until June 17 without any time restrictions. The demo lets you play through the first 15 levels, explore the headquarters of the Sharps and Streets groups, and see 9 out of the 14 districts of Hong Kong Island. If you try to go into a locked area, you’ll be sent back.

    In total, you can try out almost 30 races and activities and drive nearly 30 of the game’s 100 cars. You can start with three cars: the Alpine A110, Ford Mustang GT, and Nissan 370Z.

    You can buy up to 13 other cars, like the Porsche Cayenne Turbo and Citroen 2CV, and take 11 more cars for short test drives, including the Porsche 918 Spyder and Koenigsegg Agera RS.

    During the Summer Game Fest last week, Deck Nine Games announced they are making a direct sequel to the original Life Is Strange game, called Life Is Strange: Double Exposure. This sequel will feature the main character from the original game, Max Caulfield.

    On June 13, the studio had a livestream where they talked with the development team and Max’s voice actor, Hannah Telle. They also showed 18 minutes of gameplay footage. The stream answered many questions fans had since the reveal trailer and reassured them that Max would still be her quirky self.

    One important thing mentioned during the stream is that Double Exposure will respect both endings of the original game. In the first game, Max had to choose between saving her friend Chloe or the town of Arcadia Bay.

    These two choices lead to very different outcomes. In Double Exposure, the game won’t choose which ending is official. Instead, players will discuss Max’s past with her friend Safi, including whether they saved Chloe or not.

    It’s not clear how this will affect Double Exposure’s story, but players will see how Max’s life turned out in either scenario.

    In Double Exposure, Max is now in college, and her life seems quite different from her time in Arcadia Bay. This might make it easier for the developers to include player choices from the first game without them affecting the new story too much.

    Life is Strange: Double Exposure to Respect Original Game’s Endings

    Life is Strange: Double Exposure will respect the ending you chose in the original Life is Strange game, according to the developer Deck Nine.

    Announced at the Summer Game Fest, Double Exposure continues the story of Max Caulfield, the original teenage protagonist, who is now an adult.

    Fans were curious about whether their choices from the first game would be reflected in the sequel. Now, we have more details. “We knew returning to Max’s story had to be special,” said Felice Kuan, the narrative director. “We had to respect the two memorable endings from the first game while creating something new that still connected to Max’s past and moved her story forward.”

    Regarding which ending is considered official, Deck Nine said there is no single official ending, which fits the game’s theme of dual timelines. “It was crucial for us at Deck Nine to respect both endings,” said game director Jon Stauder. “Double Exposure does just that.”

    “There is no official ending in our view. Double Exposure respects both endings in how Max thinks, what she writes in her journal, her texts, her interactions with others, and what she chooses to share about her past with her new friends.”

    In terms of how the game will include players’ choices, Deck Nine said this will happen naturally in the game’s early scenes through a conversation between Max and her new friend Safi.

    In the presentation, there was a scene where Safi asks Max about “the girl with the blue hair whose picture you keep in your wallet.” Max can choose to say Chloe was just a friend or a high-school sweetheart.

    In Double Exposure, Max, voiced again by Hannah Tell, is now a “photographer-in-residence” at Caledon University in Vermont, similar to the original game’s Blackwell Academy. As a mentor to students, Max can stay on campus without attending classes.

    After a stargazing session with Safi and her friend Moses, tragedy strikes. Safi is found dead in one timeline. Max discovers she can move between two worlds—one where Safi is dead and one where she is still alive. Double Exposure is a double mystery: finding the murderer in one timeline before they can act in the other.

    Fans may argue about which Dragon Ball game best captures the essence of the famous anime and manga series. However, many love the Budokai Tenkachi series. These are 3D fighting games with fast-paced action in large arenas. Despite not having a new game in 15 years, fans still cherish this series.

    Finally, the upcoming Dragon Ball Sparking Zero is breaking this long wait. It’s releasing on Oct. 11 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X. I got an early look at it during Summer Game Fest.

    Fifteen years is a long time since the last game, and in that time, we’ve seen many new Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball Super seasons, as well as movies. Bandai Namco’s new game, Dragon Ball Sparking Zero, includes over 160 playable characters.

    Many of these characters are different versions of Goku and Vegeta — there are 24 slots just for them. But there’s a reason for having so many versions of the same characters: they let you recreate famous battles.

    Recreating specific matchups is the heart of Dragon Ball Sparking Zero. During a preview, we saw a live demonstration of the Episode Battle mode. It’s like a story campaign with eight specific fights from Dragon Ball’s long history.  A Bandai Namco employee showed us one of these fights: the big first battle in Dragon Ball Z between Goku and the Saiyan Raditz.

    Each fight in Episode Battle starts and ends with a cutscene. These cutscenes let players make choices that can change how the story unfolds — for example, when Piccolo asks Goku if he wants help fighting Raditz, you can choose to say no.

    Things happened as expected, leading to Goku and Piccolo teaming up for the first time, but only after Goku defeated or survived Raditz’s attack.

    Old fans will remember the next part: Goku grabs Raditz and asks Piccolo to attack them both with his special move. In Sparking Zero, you can watch this cutscene, or you can switch to a first-person view to see this moment in a new way.

    Let’s be clear: I’ve only played a few Dragon Ball games, so this won’t be a full review comparing it to other games in the Budokai Tenkaichi series. But as a Dragon Ball Z fan from when I was younger, I have a lot of good things to say about the new game.

    First, it’s really fun to fly around arenas and switch between your team members (we could only use three characters in the demo). After a required match between Goku and Vegeta, I picked my favorite normal guys Krillin, Yamcha, and Tien to take on villains like Frieza and Majin Buu to see if the humans could hold their own this time.

    It was awesome to power up Krillin all the way and use his ultimate Destructo Disk attack. It made me feel like a kid again.

    I did have some issues while playing. Like in past Budokai Tenkaichi games, it can be hard to get close to your opponents, and sometimes the computer would lose track of my character and start punching randomly (we only played solo in the demo and couldn’t play with friends).

    Also, it was a bit confusing to tell the small differences between all 11 Gokus and 13 Vegetas (except for the huge Great Ape Vegeta, who’s his character).

    The roster in Sparking Zero isn’t just about having different abilities. It’s more about letting players choose versions of Dragon Ball Z, GT, and Super characters from different times. For example, I picked the first Super Saiyan Goku to fight Frieza on the Destroyed Namek stage, recreating a moment I loved from watching the show as a kid.

    Bandai Namco didn’t stop there. They let players create their battles in Custom Battles, which can be shared with others. You can change things like health, the stage, and what appears on the screen. This lets both the game developers and players make their fun scenarios. You can recreate classic anime battles or make up your own “What If” fights. You can even set special ways to win and make your movie-like scenes.

    Sparking Zero has a lot for long-time Dragon Ball fans. But even if you’re new to anime, manga, and games, you’ll still have fun fighting with famous heroes in big battles.

    Pokémon is one of the most influential franchises ever, covering TV shows, movies, games, toys, and collectible cards. It started in 1996 and has made over $100 billion, making it the most profitable franchise ever.

    A big part of this success comes from the video games. There are over 100 Pokémon games, and they’ve sold half a billion copies. Picking and ranking the best ones was not an easy task.

    Pokemon GO

    Niantic’s Pokemon GO has changed mobile gaming since it came out for iOS and Android in July 2016. By early 2019, it had reached a billion downloads worldwide and made $3 billion.

    Playing this popular game on your phone while you’re out and about is a big draw for many people. The idea of seeing your favorite Pokemon “in real life” excites even the most serious fans.

    The game is also updated regularly with new events, Community Days to catch rare Pokemon, and special tasks throughout the year. It’s not a traditional Pokemon game, but it’s a fun and easy game to play on the go.

    Pokemon Crystal, released in 2001, improved on what Pokemon Gold and Silver started. These games took the best parts of the first Pokemon games and made them even better.

    This generation added some important new features: you could play as a girl, the Pokemon moved in battle, the colors were brighter, and you could breed Pokemon and grow berries. It also introduced two new Pokemon types and items that are still important in battles today.

    However, like the first Pokemon games, Crystal can be a bit hard to play now. It’s better than Red and Blue but still has problems with leveling up your Pokemon, a less exciting list of Pokemon, and a version of the Kanto region that isn’t as good as it could be.

    Pokemon Sword & Shield

    Released in November 2019 for the Nintendo Switch, Pokemon Sword & Shield introduced a new region called Galar, inspired by the United Kingdom. The game also brought a new battle feature called Dynamax and Gigantamax.

    The Galarian Pokedex added many new Pokemon, as well as special regional forms for familiar ones like Ponyta, Corsola, and Weezing.

    However, many players were upset because the National Dex was removed, making hundreds of Pokemon unavailable for the first time in a main series game. Despite this, Sword and Shield are still enjoyable games that fans like to revisit occasionally.

    Pokemon Sun & Moon

    In Pokémon Sun and Moon, players travel to the Alola region, which is inspired by Hawaii. Instead of the usual Gym battles, players take on special challenges called trials.

    The Pokedex, which is the guidebook for Pokémon, is replaced by the Rotomdex, a Pokémon that helps as a guide. Pokémon can also use powerful moves called Z-Moves once per battle, making for some exciting moments.

    Overall, these games are a great addition to the series and bring some fresh changes. However, the beginning of the game can feel slow, a problem that the sequel improves on.

    Pokemon Ranger

    Some fans say Pokemon games are boring and don’t change much. But sometimes, the series comes out with really unique games. Pokemon Ranger is a great example and one of the best games for the DS.

    In Pokemon Ranger, players catch Pokemon by drawing circles with the DS stylus. This was a fun and creative use of the DS’s touchscreen.

    Sadly, the series has mostly ended because the Nintendo Switch’s touchscreen isn’t good for this type of game. Even so, we hope this amazing game can come back someday in some way.

    Pokemon FireRed & LeafGreen

    As mentioned before, Generation 1 of Pokémon is famous but has some problems that can make it frustrating to play. However, there’s a great way to enjoy the Kanto region in 2023. Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen are remakes of Gen 1 released in 2004. They fix most of the original problems while keeping the charm.

    Almost every important update from Generations 2 and 3 is in FireRed and LeafGreen. GameFreak also added new areas like the Sevii Islands, the Vs. Seeker expanded the story, and much more. There are so many updates that it would take another 1,000 words to list them all.

    If you want to enjoy Kanto at its best, these games are perfect. They show what a good remake should be, and we hope future remakes will be more like these and less like Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.

    Pokemon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire

    Pokemon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire

    In 2014, the games Ruby and Sapphire from 2002 were remade for the Nintendo 3DS as Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. These new versions changed the old 2D-pixel style to a more modern look.

    One of the exciting features for fans was Mega Evolution, a special upgrade for certain Pokemon. This feature was first seen in Pokemon X & Y. In Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, several popular Pokemon from the third generation, like the starter Pokemon, Altaria, Salamence, and Rayquaza, could Mega Evolve.

    The Delta Episode, a special part of the game after the main story, was very popular. It had a fun ending featuring the Pokemon Deoxys, which made long-time fans happy. However, many players were disappointed that the Battle Frontier, a popular feature from the earlier game Pokemon Emerald, was not included in these remakes.

    Although critics didn’t love Explorers of Sky when it first came out, it is still a favorite among Pokémon fans. This game, released in 2009 for the DS, is an improved version of Explorers of Time & Darkness. It added many new features to the popular roguelike series.

    Explorers of Sky introduced new items that looked like others and added more Pokémon, including Shaymin Village, Spinda’s Café, four new starter Pokémon, and Special Episodes. The Special Episodes were especially liked because they added emotional backstories and redemption arcs to the story.

    Even today, many consider Explorers of Sky to have one of the best stories in any Pokémon game. It might not be for everyone, but for those who loved it, it became an instant classic.

    Pokemon Black & White

    Pokemon Black & White

    Pokemon Black and White for the Nintendo DS came out in the West in March 2011. Many people say it has one of the best stories in the series. The game takes place in the Unova region, where players have to fight against Team Plasma, a group that wants to cause trouble.

    The game introduced 150 new Pokemon, the biggest addition to the Pokemon list since Ruby and Sapphire in 2002 for the Game Boy Advance.

    With great sprite artwork and possibly the best story in the series, there are many reasons to play Black and White. However, it has some downsides, like not being able to use older Pokemon until after finishing the main game, and many new Pokemon designs that feel uncreative and add little to the game.

    Pokemon Scarlet & Violet

    Pokemon Scarlet & Violet are seen as really important for the Pokemon series. They’re the first open-world games, which means you can explore freely without limits. These games also set records when they were released.

    The games take place in the Paldea region. You can go anywhere you want at your speed. There are three main stories: Gym Battles, Titan Pokemon to beat, and taking down Team Star Leaders. Plus, there’s lots to do after you finish the main game.

    When the games first came out, some issues made it hard to enjoy. But overall, they’re a strong addition to the series. The switch to open-world gameplay is a big deal for Pokemon. The Area Zero part of the game after you finish is amazing.

    Pokemon Black 2 & White 2

    In 2012, Pokemon Black 2 and White 2 were released as sequels to the original Black and White games on the Nintendo DS. They continued the story in the Unova region, taking place two years after the events of the first games.

    These new games introduced new places to explore and added three new Gym Leaders and a brand-new Champion. Like before, there were extra places to visit after finishing the main story, like the Skyarrow Bridge and the Battle Institute.

    On the review site Metacritic, players gave the games a score of 7.7 out of 10, and critics gave them a score of 80. People had mixed feelings about going back to the Unova region.

    A direct sequel is a great idea and it’s a shame Game Freak hasn’t done it again. Unova has always been a region with lots of personality, great storytelling, and wonderful characters, so it was a good choice to make a sequel. They didn’t change much in terms of gameplay, but Black & White 2 are still some of the best games in the series.

    Pokemon Platinum

    Pokemon Platinum is the ultimate game of Gen IV. It combines Pokemon Diamond and Pearl into one great experience.

    You play in the Sinnoh region and try to save the world from Team Galactic boss, Cyrus. The story has lots of surprises that keep you interested.

    Platinum has a great story, an iconic Elite Four, and fun gameplay. It also adds Looker, the Distortion World, and other improvements that make it the best Gen 4 game.

    Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness

    Five years after the Colosseum, Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness takes place. It’s about a new Trainer named Michael. He’s determined to stop Team Cipher from taking over the world.

    In the game, there are new Pokemon to rescue and Shadow Lugia is a big part of the story. The final battle is one of the most exciting events in all of Pokemon games – it’s epic!

    It’s been 17 years since Pokemon XD was released. Fans want Nintendo to remake or remaster these two GameCube games. We’re hoping for it too! Please, Nintendo.

    Pokemon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon

    Pokemon Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon

    Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon came out in November 2017. They brought back the Alola region, which is inspired by Hawaii. This time, the games had a different story compared to the earlier ones.

    The games added five new Pokemon and some new Z-Moves. They also improved the Rotomdex. Now, it could become friendly with the player and even find items through something called the Roto Loto. This feature made Rotom more powerful.

    Ultra Sun & Moon fixed a lot of problems with the original games, like the pacing. They also expanded on Ultra Beasts and added a real endgame feature called Ultra Warp Rides. These changes made the games much better.

    Pokemon Legends: Arceus

    Pokémon Legends Arceus was a big change that many Pokémon fans were hoping for. The game takes players back in time to an ancient Sinnoh region called Hisui. Here, you explore different environments and create the first Pokédex.

    What made this game exciting was how you interact with wild Pokémon. You could sneak up and catch them, run away from strong Alpha Pokémon that could attack you, or just watch Pokémon in their natural habitat.

    This is one of the best Pokémon games and shows that Game Freak can still make new and interesting games. It might not be the most beautiful game, but the gameplay and story are great. Hopefully, we get more Legends games in the future that build on what Arceus started.

    Pokemon Emerald

    Pokemon Emerald is the best version of Gen III, just as Platinum is for Gen IV. It has the Battle Frontier and lets you catch Rayquaza.

    In Emerald, there are two bad guy teams, Team Aqua, and Team Magma, fighting to wake up Groudon and Kyogre. So, players have to work extra hard to save the Hoenn region.

    Even though Omega Ruby and Sapphire came later, Emerald’s old-school 2D graphics and midi-style music make it nostalgic. It almost deserves the top spot, but not quite.

    Pokemon HeartGold & SoulSilver

    Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver were remakes released in 2010 for the Nintendo DS. They were based on the 1999 Game Boy Color games, Gold and Silver, which were the first to introduce Generation 2 of Pokemon.

    These remakes tell the story of the Johto region and also allow players to explore the Kanto region from the original Red, Blue, and Yellow games after finishing the main story. This makes them much bigger than newer games like Sword & Shield, which have fewer things to do after the main story.

    HeartGold and SoulSilver are the most complete games in the Pokemon series so far. They offer a lot of content, legendary Pokemon to catch, and an exciting ending where you battle Red on top of Mt. Silver. These are amazing games that every Pokemon fan should try.

    One of the biggest complaints players have with XDefiant is the “maddening exploit of jump spamming.” In matches of this free-to-play shooter, many players use bunny hopping (also known as jump shooting) to dodge bullets.

    \While it’s a useful tactic (and very annoying), Ubisoft wants to stop it because of player feedback. With update Y1S0.3, Ubisoft has added “aiming penalties for players who keep using the jump and crouch buttons too much.”

    Additionally, snipers in XDefiant are getting weaker. Ubisoft is making it harder to aim when hit by enemy fire and slowing down the walking speed when snipers hold their breath and aim down sights.

    This update also fixes a problem where character models’ legs detached from their torsos in Escort mode and corrects an issue with the Buzzkill achievement not unlocking properly.

    Gameplay

    • Added aiming penalties for players who go to town on the jump/crouch buttons, aka the nuanced tactic of jump spamming, aka the maddening exploit of jump spamming. Opinions vary.
    • Players can now push the package in Escort mode with confidence that their legs won’t detach from their torso and strand them, which was a thing that was happening.

    Weapons

    • Various fine tuning for long-distance shooting, including slightly reduced walking speed when holding your breath while wielding scoped weapons, which makes sense when you think about it.
    • Revamped how snipers flinch when they’re tagged by enemy fire, increasing the flinch and keeping it going through multiple hits.
    • Squared away a PC-specific issue where players couldn’t set ADS on toggle after completing a match and changing gameplay input.

    Social

    • Fixed an Xbox-specific issue where the Xbox button broke on the in-game Social menu after inviting a player from said console.
    • Fixed an issue that allowed blocked players to read your chat messages.
    • Tweaked the way ping is calculated in matchmaking so you’ll have access to a wider group of players who share your ping characteristics.
    • Players were unable to join a nearly full game in progress despite being invited by someone already in the game, but good news: Now they can.
    • Fixed an issue where players could join a game in progress that didn’t fit their meticulously customized controller and matchmaking settings.

    Netcode

    • Libertad’s medical skills were so potent, they were soaking up bandwidth. That’s been fixed (the bandwidth issue, not the healing potency, which remains untouched).

    Factions

    • Added additional fixes so that Echelon players turn invisible only when using the Digital Ghillie Suit rather than for their entire lives. They’re supposed to be sneaky but c’mon.
    • Corrected how feats of Libertad battlefield medicine are highlighted at the end of each round for well-deserved peer-group recognition.

    Devices

    • The camera used to shake when nearby explosives exploded whether the explosion caused player damage or not, but now the camera shakes only when the exploding explosive causes damage.

    Maps

    • Tweaked the orientation of flags on the Liberty map.

    Miscellaneous

    • Crash fixes, various.
    • Reduced the pop-up frequency of the “Banned for Toxicity” notification because you know who you are.
    • Fixed an issue preventing players from deploying abilities and devices after changing control input.
    • The Buzzkill Achievement wasn’t unlocking but now it unlocks according to plan.
    • Previously cosmetic items were displayed as available in some places but not in the place where you could actually get them. That’s fixed now.

    The game brings back well-known characters like Frank Woods and Russel Adler in an intense single-player campaign, alongside new characters.

    Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater Gameplay Revealed

    The new game Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, a remake of 2004’s Metal Gear Solid 3, is a big deal for Konami’s stealth action series. It’s set to release before the end of this year, marking the end of a nine-year gap since 2015’s Phantom Pain (not including Survive). While Delta isn’t a completely new game in the series, an ad for it suggests it could pave the way for Metal Gear to make a strong comeback.

    Konami has shown off Delta’s updated graphics and new features, like a damage system that can permanently scar Snake’s body. They also released a video called “Metal Gear Solid Legacy Series Part 2” on YouTube, hosted by David Hayter, the original voice of Snake.

    The video mostly recaps what we saw during the Xbox Showcase, but it also includes an interview with producer Noriaki Okamura, which is where things get interesting.

    Okamura says that one of Delta’s goals is to help determine if the new team is capable of continuing the Metal Gear series. This mission has two main parts. First, Okamura explains that Delta exists because Konami noticed new players aren’t familiar with the series.

    Alongside the Master Collection, the new Metal Gear team wants to preserve the series’ history for new generations. Delta will act as an introduction to the series for new players, especially since it’s chronologically the first game in the series.

    Second, the new team has been given the responsibility of deciding “the future of Metal Gear.” This means Konami is using Delta to test whether there could be more games in the series.

    This might include remakes of past games, a strategy that has been very successful for Capcom with its Resident Evil remakes. Even more exciting, if Delta does well and the team delivers what Konami wants, there could be an entirely new story in the series.

    Many fans feel uncertain about the series’ future without its creator Hideo Kojima, who left Konami under difficult circumstances shortly after the release of MGSV in 2015. However, Konami has shown interest in continuing the series without Kojima.

    A Long-Awaited Ninja Protagonist

    When your game series is all about sneaky assassins hiding in shadows and climbing buildings, it’s no surprise fans have wanted a ninja-themed character for years. Assassin’s Creed Shadows is the answer to that request, but it offers more than just one new character.

    It introduces a second main character, Yasuke the samurai, who is the first real historical figure you can play in the series. His style is very different from Naoe, the ninja. We got to see this in a special demo in Los Angeles.

    The demo starts with Yasuke entering a town, drawing everyone’s attention. His fancy armor and large size make him stand out, and people stare as he walks by. The developers explain that Yasuke can’t use social stealth and can’t climb buildings like Naoe or other assassins. But he is very powerful.

    A woman asks Yasuke to help get rid of a group that heavily taxes the community, and he agrees. Instead of showing a marker for where to go, the game gives clues to the target’s location, and Yasuke walks to the right district. When he finds the corrupt samurai, a guard tells him to leave.

    Yasuke doesn’t hide his intentions; he draws his big spiked club and fights. His attacks are strong and brutal, killing enemies in just a few swings. Yasuke is so powerful that the player accidentally hits a civilian with a powerful attack. This made me realize I should be careful when playing this mission.

    After switching to his katana and defeating the samurai boss in a duel, the developers give us a choice. The corrupt samurai’s boss, the daimyo, also needs to be killed. The audience votes on which character we want to see for this part. Happy with Yasuke’s display, we vote for Naoe.

    Naoe enters the castle grounds at night, hidden by darkness and rain. Her playstyle is what we expect from the series, with parkour and stealth. She uses a grappling hook to swing from a tree and drops down to kill a guard, then crawls through the grass.

    Even though it’s nighttime, the area is lit by paper lanterns. Naoe uses her kunai to put out the flames, distracting her target and making it easier to move. She puts out many lanterns along the way, making “Shadows” a fitting title for the game.

    When Naoe reaches the daimyo, she sneaks up to a shallow pool he is near. She submerges herself in the water, using it as cover. After waiting a moment, she uses a reed as a snorkel and moves closer. The daimyo never sees her coming, and she kills him with one thrust of her blade.

    The demo ends with another run through the castle with both characters, showing Yasuke’s direct approach and Naoe’s daytime route.

    There are new weapons (Yasuke has a rifle, and Naoe has a chain weapon called a kusarigama), special abilities, and many assassinations, highlighting how different the two characters are. I’m excited to try them both when the game launches later this year.

    According to a press release, Rita’s Rewind will let up to five players play together online or offline. You can control the original Power Rangers and their giant robots, the Zords.

    Rita’s Rewind will tell a new story with the iconic villain, Rita Repulsa. She uses a magical portal to go back in time and join a younger version of herself. Together, they try to defeat the Power Rangers. I think the Rangers will win, but I can’t wait to find out when the game comes out later this year.
