The stunningly terrifying action-adventure game A Plague Tale: Innocence is getting the television series treatment, and production will take place in France. The plot of the video game centers on two brothers who live in France during the 14th century during an outbreak of the black disease, which was carried by an unnaturally large number of rats.

A Plague Tale: Innocence
Upon its first release, the game received accolades for its cinematic presentation and innovative gameplay; yet, by the game’s conclusion, that gameplay had become very repetitive.
The information was first disclosed by the French journal Allocine. Mathieu Turi, a French filmmaker, is currently in talks to helm the series.
In the past, Turi has worked on the horror films Hostile and Meander. Turi has said that he is “proud to work on the adaptation” and that he “can’t wait to bring Amicia and Hugo’s adventure to the film!”
The production timeline for A Plague Tale, as well as any castings, is not yet available. Although I’m sure it will garner some criticism, I believe that the choice to shoot the series in its country of origin, France, was a wise one. I’m a complete sap for a well-done historical piece that’s set in the right era.
It is important to note that A Plague Tale is now the first installment of a series. The sequel titled A Plague Tale: Requiem was announced the previous year and is scheduled for publication in 2022.
