Honkai: Star Rail Version 1.2 will be released soon. It will bring new characters you can play to continue the main story and include limited-time events in the RPG game.
The new characters are the most exciting part of the update. You can get these characters by pulling from their banners, and two of these banners will be included in this update.
Update 1.2 has some highly anticipated additions that players have been looking forward to. Each of the two banners will have one compelling character and three slightly less powerful characters with higher chances of getting them.
Two Light Cone banners will run simultaneously, featuring a powerful Light Cone character and three slightly less powerful Light Cone characters that work well with the available characters. All of these banners will be available for three weeks.

Honkai: Star Rail 1.2 Banners – Phase 1
Starting from July 19, 2023, when update 1.2 is released, you will have access to some new characters in the game:
- Blade: A powerful character with a five-star rating who possesses the Wind element and specializes in causing destruction.
- Arlan: A four-star character who excels in physical attacks and causing destruction.
- Natasha: Another four-star character who relies on physical attacks and represents abundance.
- Sushang: A four-star character who uses physical attacks and is skilled in hunting.
Additionally, there will be new light cones available:
- The Unreachable Side: A five-star light cone focusing on destruction.
- A Secret Vow: A four-star light cone that also emphasizes destruction.
- Shared Feeling: A four-star light-cone associated with abundance.
- Swordplay: A four-star light cone designed for hunting.
Blade
Blade is a member of the Stellaron Hunters and is good at causing damage. He can use his health to make his attacks more potent. It’s best to put him right in the middle of the fight so he can build up his Charge ability and unleash powerful attacks.
Arlan
Arlan is similar to Blade but does more damage when his health is low. However, he’s not strong overall because his fighting style is too risky against tough opponents.
Natasha
Natasha is a primary healer that all players can use. She’s good at healing, but 5-Star characters from The Abundance group have some extra abilities that make them even better.
Sushang
Sushang is a strong attacker who focuses on one target. As you level up her Eidolon, she becomes even better because she uses fewer Skill Points for her attacks. This gives other characters a chance to show off their abilities.

Honkai: Star Rail 1.2 Banners – Phase 2
Phase 2 will start on August 8, 2023, and continue until the release of update 1.3. During this time, you will have the opportunity to obtain two new characters:
- Kafka (a 5-star character with lightning powers from The Nihility)
- Luka (a 4-star character with physical abilities from The Nihility)
- Sampo (a 4-star character with wind powers from The Nihility)
- Serval (a 4-star character with lightning powers from The Erudition)
Additionally, you can also acquire four new items:
- Patience Is All You Need (a 5-star Light Cone from The Nihility)
- Resolution Shines as Pearls of Sweat (a 4-star Light Cone from The Nihility)
- Eyes of the Prey (a 4-star Light Cone from The Nihility)
- The Birth of the Self (a 4-star Light Cone from The Erudition)
Kafka
Kafka is a skilled fighter who is good at dealing with damage over time. Using her attacks and special moves, she can make enemies feel the effects of ongoing damage.
Luka
Luka is an expert at causing a specific type of ongoing damage called bleeding. He has a robust version of this ability, which makes him a good partner for characters like Kafka and Sampo.
Sampo
Sampo’s main strength is increasing the damage caused by ongoing damage effects on his team. He can be a valuable support character for specific groups.
Serval
Serval is excellent at causing damage to multiple enemies at once. Her attacks can make several enemies feel the effects of ongoing harm, like being shocked.
Honkai: Star Rail is out now for Android, iOS, and PC. It will also be released for PlayStation 5 in the last quarter of 2023.
