Many people don’t like fishing games since they need a lot of patience and time spent staring at a screen while waiting for a fish to be reeled in. Yet, unlike other fishing games, this one claims to be more interactive. The player pilots a fishing boat around a collection of isolated islands, completing objectives to uncover each place’s tumultuous history and gain access to new, previously inaccessible areas.
As you progress through the game, you’ll unlock bizarre new skills that’ll come in helpful when you have to explore the game’s world’s deepest, scariest caverns where hidden horrors lurk. If the idea of a Lovecraftian adventure that combines elements of a fishing simulator and a survival horror game appeals to you, you may want to pick up Dredge on release day.

Dredge Gameplay
The fishing game Dredge has a creepy undertone. The player pilots a fishing boat out to sea in pursuit of, you guessed it, fish. This is accomplished by having players navigate their ships to predetermined spots in the water and then casting their lines or nets there.
A round shape with a revolving line will materialize. Gamers must choose one of the many green areas within the circle to halt the line. The likelihood of success in catching a fish is instantly enhanced. Players must place caught fish in the grid-like storage area of their boat.
The boat’s motor and fishing gear are also on this grid, so it’s essential to maintain a healthy inventory balance. One of the defining features of the game is its day-night cycle. If they so wish, players can spend a whole day fishing.
Yet there’s always the chance that something will emerge from the sea and try to assault the ship. Players must leave plenty of time each day to go to the port before their boat is damaged or destroyed.
The player can spend money at the dock to fix their boat or stock up on supplies. The catch can be sold in raw form or processed into currency by completing side quests given by locals. Players will need to venture to various harbors in search of different fish.
