The official Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Twitter account is hosting a competition to invite players of the most recent demo to share their best tips for beating the game’s insanely challenging souls, like before its March 3 release.
On Friday, February 24th, the second official demo for the game was released. The general opinion among those who have tried it is that it is really difficult, much like any good soulslike. Some players already have difficulty, and the lack of difficulty settings doesn’t help.
The social media page is encouraging demo players to contribute a 30-second clip or screenshot of the gameplay and their finest bit of advise, with 10 winners receiving a free t-shirt, presumably to aid out struggling players who want an easier dip into China’s warring nations, period.
There has been a wide range of responses, some of which have been helpful advice, while others have focused more on thgame’s’s technical flaws. Some have chosen to poke fun at the situation, such as YouTuber @GJX_, who tweeted the wor” “Advice” alongside a crying face emoji and a montage of himself yelling in anger as the first boss, Zhang Liang, kills him over and over again in the demo.

Regarding tactical guidance, many players recommend using the deflecting mechanism to overcomegame’same’s brutal boss fights. The block mechanic in Wo Long is linked to a separate button than the deflect action. Thus, you’ll have to remember which one to press in order to block most blows.
With deflect, players can temporarily stun foes by pressing the button at just the right moment, but if they push it too early or too late, the foe’s strike will still land and deal damage.
Some Twitter users have also pointed out that it is possible to hold in the block button while still attempting to deflect, providing an extra layer of protection against non-critical attacks, as both bosses and regular enemies can charge up and use critical attacks will by pass the normal block function.

As another helpful piece of advice, players should equip their characters with weapons that are appropriate to their element. Every time Wo Long levels up, he must choose an element from a pool of five. Players who choose to level up in one element increase certain attributes and gain access to new spells in that element, while those who choose to level up in another element increase the effectiveness of their weapon.

Despite the game’s mostly positive reception, a small minority of commenters used the opportunity to make light of the demo’s technical flaws. Overusing the deflect button might cause your character to cut through the ground, leaving them vulnerable to being killed. On another PC user’s screenshot, strange pastel-colored patterns appear superimposed on the outfit.
Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty launches on March 3 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox One X, and PC. The demo is still playable, but just for a few more hours. Also, it will be accessible on Xbox and PC Game Pass on the release day.
