The PlayStation 5 comes in two different variations. The normal PS5 retails for $499/£479, while the Digital Edition without a Blu-ray drive retails for $399/£389; note that the UK prices are £30 higher than they used to be because of a price hike; fortunately, US customers have not been affected. Where to Buy a PlayStation 5

The PlayStation 5 console is in high demand, and whenever it is restocked, it sells out nearly immediately. You’ll need luck and speed if you want to get one right now.

The only way to get your hands on a Switch is to sign up for an invitation, which will be given out in waves as stock becomes available (even on Amazon). Sony’s PlayStation Direct store also offers pre-orders for the PS5.
