When Will GTA 6 Come Out? Rockstar Games has obviously spent a long time on GTA 6, given how long it takes to make open areas of the same quality as GTA 5. Rockstar is often secretive about its projects until they are near completion, but we now have some actual information on when the game will be released.
Last year, early gameplay footage of GTA 6 and lines of source code from the game itself appeared online. Rockstar has posted a statement on Twitter confirming that a third party gained access to its systems and downloaded data, including open-world game development footage.
Developers don’t think this breach should delay future work or affect their live-service games, according to the statement.
When Will GTA 6 Come Out?
In their future financial report, Take-Two Interactive may decide to put the team ahead of themselves and reveal the release date for Grand Theft Auto 6. The parent company of Rockstar Games is allegedly optimistic about the future, which could be the clue we’ve been looking for.
I don’t know about you, but I’m ready for the official introduction of Grand Theft Auto 6 after years of leaked photographs, footage, and even a look at the game’s protagonists. Rockstar Games has been keeping the release date under wraps, leaving fans to rely on online investigators to uncover the truth.
A recent research by Take-Two Interactive may provide some answers. After a period of fewer front-line releases, Take-Two Interactive is bullish about the company’s short and medium-term prospects, according to a recent analysis by the firm Raymond James.
The company thinks this is because of the release information and trailers for Grand Theft Auto 6, “which should take away the most prominent point of uncertainty around the financial trajectory.” Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnik was quoted as saying that GTA 6’s release date would occur during fiscal 2025.
Many of you have been asking about a new entry in the Grand Theft Auto series.
With every new project, our goal is always to significantly move beyond what we’ve previously delivered. We’re pleased to confirm that active development for the next entry in the series is underway.

There have been rumors pointing to both October 26 and October 21 as possible announcement dates, but the actual date is still unknown. If the rumored release year of 2025 holds, however, we may have to wait a lot longer for official word from Rockstar.
During the same week that this report was made public, a Reddit member claimed to have viewed the official Grand Theft Auto 6 video. The two new characters will reportedly provide a voiceover, and the updated Vice City will be on display.
Why is GTA 6 Taking So Long?
Many of you are likely curious as to what is delaying the release of Grand Theft Auto 6. It’s no wonder that Rockstar is taking its time, what with Grand Theft Auto 5 and GTA Online’s massive success and the massive scale of Red Dead Redemption 2.
When asked if GTA 6 was in development, the company confirmed as much. Rockstar has made a point to highlight “the unprecedented longevity of GTA 5”, a game that has been updated and re-released numerous times over the last nine years.
GTA 6 Leaks: Are the New GTA 6 Leaks Real?
On September 18, 2022, thousands of videos and screenshots from a supposed in-development build of GTA 6 surfaced online, marking a first for the series. Do you have doubts about the integrity of the Grand Theft Auto 6 leaks?
The hack has been confirmed by a statement from Rockstar: “We recently suffered a network intrusion in which an unauthorized third party illegally accessed and downloaded confidential information from our systems, including early development footage for the next Grand Theft Auto.”
“We are extremely disappointed to have any details of our next game shared with you all in this way,” Rockstar said. When the time comes, we will officially introduce you to this new game and provide everyone with an update. We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as we work through this crisis.
To avoid being “obliterated by Rockstar,” the GTA Forums have spent the 48 hours after the GTA 6 leak appeared removing all traces of the stolen pictures and videos.
In case you’ve missed it, the r/GTA6, Extended Mapping Discord Communities as well as GTA Forums, made a GTA 6 document. Here you can find every info about the leaks back in September 2022 with every single details explained.https://t.co/aGy4iWSavj pic.twitter.com/shtpC2i5zo

All leak-related media has been removed from the GTA 6 subreddit, and the moderators have pledged to keep the sub up and running. Still, only on one condition: “We will allow discussions related to the leak without attaching the leaks.” We won’t approve any comments that include links to the leak’s download.
Rockstar Games and Take-Two, the company’s parent, have both issued statements since then. Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick described the leak as “terribly unfortunate” and added, “We take those sorts of incidents very seriously indeed” during a recent earnings call.
Nothing of real value appears to have been stolen, which is excellent news, and the leak won’t slow down development or anything like that. Unfortunately, this has made us more cautious than ever before about potential cyber threats.
The latest development in this saga is that the youngster accused of a large leak of Grand Theft Auto 6 has been found to be mentally unfit to stand trial. According to Reuters, doctors have determined that Lapsus$ hacker Arion Kurtaj, age 18, is not competent to stand the test on his behalf.
Interestingly, after a copyright “nuke” by Rockstar, only one leaked GTA 6 screenshot survived. It appears that Rockstar’s blanket copyright claims have only missed one single frame.
