Which Xbox Game Pass games make the best use of hard drive space? Microsoft’s Game Pass is worth it. Many may grumble at having their video game library locked behind a membership service, yet users have access to indie darlings and triple-A blockbusters for a surprisingly inexpensive monthly charge.
With so many great games available, it might be difficult to choose. Since the monthly fee covers admission, the most serious issue is hard disc space. This collection’s gems are obvious. Xbox Game Pass includes several fantastic games.
The Top Xbox One Game Pass Titles August 2022
Master Chief Collection
Master Chief Collection makes his travels accessible. This is 343 Industries’ comprehensive collection of Halo games. Every mainline Halo game is included (excluding Halo 5: Guardians), plus Halo 3: ODST and Halo: Reach. Master Chief Collection features campaign co-op, Firefight, and famous multiplayer modes. Halo fans should play it on Xbox Game Pass. There’s no better way to end Master Chief’s saga.
Visual novel titles are rare in Xbox Game Pass, therefore they cause excitement. In Coffee Talk, players brew coffee and listen to fanciful clients. It’s a laid-back experience that’s a great contrast from Game Pass’ normal fare. Imagining Seattle populated by fictional “monsters” is as exhilarating as a new cup of coffee.
Cluster Truck
Platformers include sprinting and jumping over sturdy platforms as obstacles and dangers appear. ClusterTruck reduces risk by half. You jump over and onto speeding semi-trucks in this exciting platformer. As you gain speed, the trucks begin slamming into each other, generating flaming explosions and “safe” trailer space for you to land on as you race to the finish line. It’s a mess. Despite the game’s frenetic pace, it’s short and won’t deplete you. Plus, you can acquire cool powers that make passing trucks fun.
Campus Two
Few management sims match The Sims’ freedom and building options. Two Point Hospital and Two Point Campus are strong candidates. Two Point Campus gives players a more refined experience and is a Day One debut on Xbox Game Pass, which sweetens the deal.
Manage a school’s finances, extracurriculars, and tuition. You can create one of the world’s top educational institutions or give in to anarchy and focus on fun, sloth, or medieval crazy. Any!
Simulator
Many consider the simulator genre a joke, but many of them are fantastic. Farming Simulator has become a premier simulation game with an esports following. Goat simulators crazy is renowned. Who can forget PowerWash Simulator? (also on Xbox Game Pass).
Cooking Simulator continues this legacy by simulating the challenges and joys of running a kitchen. As the game develops, follow recipes and maintain your establishment. Cooking Simulator is a decent Xbox Game Pass addition. Watch Dogs 2 Watch Dogs was a flop, however, its sequel vastly improved on its mechanics. Watch Dogs 2 is a funny “hacking” sandbox where you can cause mayhem in a futuristic San Francisco as DedSec.

Though the game addresses technology overwatch and privacy, that’s not why you should play it. When Watch Dogs 2 is good, you cause mass havoc to achieve your goals. Ditching the first game’s melancholy tone was the finest thing the series could have done, yet Watch Dogs 2 is still fun.
Dungeon Dice
Fans of modern deck builders like Slay the Spire or Roguebook will recognize Dicey Dungeons’ gameplay loop. In it, players win battles and earn cards/gear to prepare for a final showdown.
Every ability in Dicey Dungeons costs dice rolls, thus players must consider the odds of their throws when managing their armament. It’s a lovely take on the genre with many characters, combinations, and playstyles.
County Donut
Donut County is a funny puzzle game like Katamari Damacy. Players control a little hole that may be dragged under things in the world; anything small enough will fall into the abyss and be lost forever. Young and old can enjoy swallowing up the planet to make the bottomless pit bigger.
Donut County boasts colorful characters, funny conversations, and a fun world to explore. It’s short and doesn’t overstay its welcome, making it an easy recommendation for novel game fans.
Inside lets players control a boy seeking to escape a terrible world. Inside’s visual design is striking, with black accents and shadows overcasting practically every vignette throughout its 3-4 hour playtime. The game’s odd premise is revealed through a few memorable set pieces.
Playdead’s horrific puzzle solutions and carnal aural design make this an unmissable experience for those of 2D puzzle games who can handle its dramatic and brutal world-building.
Dusk
If you liked The Dark Pictures Anthology’s cooperative, narrative-driven gameplay and wondered how it would translate to a hard-hitting drama, this is a must-play. As Dusk Falls examines the existential entanglements of various people during and after a failed heist turned hostage crisis. Every decision might have far-reaching consequences.
The game’s main mechanic is decision-making. As Dusk Falls has a couple of extra tricks up its sleeve if you’re playing with buddies (up to eight total). If there’s a tie, the game chooses randomly. Each player gets a limited amount of “overrides” to bypass the majority vote. The game’s story is highly branched, with every decision and quick-time event outcome leading you down a new route. If you have some time and some friends, check it out.
Simulator PowerWash
Who knew cleaning dusty sites and mud-encrusted automobiles could be so satisfying? How could a game imitating a day job produce a tingly feeling of serenity when it involves monotonous, hard labor? PowerWash Simulator must be experienced to truly explain the release of blasting grime off your friend’s grandma’s filthy bungalow or witnessing the sun touch a freshly-scrubbed sidewalk for the first time in a decade.
This incredibly simple game can’t match with God of War or Elden Ring, but it’s rare. Nobody asked for it, but everyone needs it.
Academy Escape
Escape Academy captures the puzzle-solving fun of an escape room in a video game style. Not your typical puzzle game. Coin Crew Games has clearly made a game that mimics real-life escape room thinking.
The escape room concept lends itself nicely to video game techniques. Escape Academy’s attractive look and visual-novel-like interludes provide a unique experience. Add in co-op puzzles, and you’ve got hours of fun ahead.
96th
Road 96 is an ambitious role-playing game that combines branching conversation with procedural generation. This ambition causes uneven passages, but it mostly succeeds.
It’s a political game where kids try to leave their nation via Road 96. The player’s character isn’t guaranteed to survive, but the other characters’ narratives advance with each escape attempt.
Renovator
Everyone’s been there. One of your pals who broke into real estate calls you and asks, “What would make a terrific video game? My job.” The hypothetical friend isn’t too far off.
House Flipper lets players clean and organizes a house without work. It’s a game for everyone’s inner tidy freak. While clearing up trash, scrubbing floors, organizing furniture, and pulling down walls can be laborious, you’ll feel fulfilled once you’ve achieved your vision for the home.
Sleeper
Citizen Sleeper combines sci-fi, RPG, and survival. Branching narratives and limited time to finish questlines define the game’s experience. Players choose an archetype that determines their background and specialties.
Citizen Sleeper takes from so many genres that it’s impossible to describe. A visual novel and modern tabletop game fans will find many recognizable mechanics. The game balances gaming challenges and plot perfectly.
PS4
Far Cry 5’s huge world is filled with wildlife, enemies, and the environment. Far Cry’s greatest thrill is how these hurdles connect, producing a unique emergent narrative. Far Cry 5 supports online co-op.
Far Cry 5 doesn’t deviate much from previous games in the genre, although it’s set in the U.S. That makes Far Cry 5 distinguish out from its predecessors and gives fans another reason to play.
Daylight Kills
We’re aware of this blatant gap on our list. Dead By Daylight is a popular asymmetrical multiplayer game, despite its modest roots. Dead By Daylight is often compared to Friday The 13th or Evil Dead: The Game.
The Killer or Survivors can be chosen. Killers are monster creatures (some from popular IP) with supernatural abilities to kidnap and sacrifice Survivors. To escape and win, survivors must switch on generators. Dead By Daylight is easy to describe, yet its thrills and terrors will keep you coming back for more.
