SNK has announced The King of Fighters XIII Global Match, the ultimate version of the game. In the summer of 2023, it will be available for public testing on PlayStation 4. In addition, the Nintendo Switch port of the game will include a rollback netcode for a far better online experience.
Until recently, The King of Fighters XIII was exclusive to the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, mobile devices, Arcade, and PC platforms. The title ditched the Guard Attack, Critical Counter, and Clash System from the previous edition to expand combo variety and player experimentation favoring the EX Mode, Hyper Drive Mode, and Drive Cancel.
Regarding the plot, this game follows The King of Fighters XI and wraps up the third story arc that began in The King of Fighters 2003. The King of Fighters XIII details are as follows. One of the most iconic fighting game series, The King of Fighters XIII, heralds a new era for one of gaming’s longest-running titles.

The King of Fighters XIII is the HD entry in the series fans have been waiting for, thanks to the series’ signature characters like K’, Mai, and Vice returning in full force, the core fighting engine being extensively refined based on community feedback, and the network functionality being vastly improved.

Fights now progress more quickly, over a dozen new game modes add variety and replayability, the game’s gorgeously rendered and animated character sprites are more easily distinguishable from the game’s more affluent, more detailed backgrounds, the camera perspective is less constrained, fighters have more moves, including new supers and the all-new NEOMAX supers, and much, much more has been added since the last installment.
Ash Crimson, Iori Yagami, and Kyo Kusanagi have all been in trouble recently, and it seemed like the next King of Fighters tournament might never occur. Yet, the new mixed-martial-arts competition has received unprecedented global attention thanks to international invites sent to fighters and extensive promotion by an unknown group (headed by a man known only as “R”).
