The Finals introduces the mid-season update 1.6.0, which includes numerous enhancements and bug fixes, as well as a completely new event called Steal the Spotlight. Season 1 is almost halfway done, and the live service game has experienced many ups and downs in the first month and a half since The Finals officially started during The Game Awards 2023.
Initially, The Finals shattered numerous Embark Studios player records; however, bugs and other issues arose at various points during the tournament, affecting matches.
However, Embark Studios has continued to update the game with patches, weapon balance changes, and new content. During Season 1, The Finals introduced its first limited-time game option, lone Bank It, which took a twist on the standard game style by placing 12 lone players against one another rather than working in teams.
These limited-time game modes, which try to alter the traditional methods of play, appear to be a fundamental component in the future, as Embark Studios has revealed its next gameplay variation in the most recent update for The Finals.
Embark Studios has announced in a new post that Update 1.6.0 is now available to all players of The Finals. For many, the most significant aspect of this update is that Solo Bank. It is being replaced by a completely new game mode called Steal the Spotlight.
