The Callisto Protocol Trailer
It won’t be long until we have to say goodbye to the relative safety of this rock in space and embark on an adventure to a lifeless moon, where we will be forced to live the life of a prisoner while fending off insane mutations that want to rip us apart limb by limb.
The Callisto Protocol, developed by Striking Distance Studios and available for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, will be released on December 2, and the development team has just released a debut trailer that is quite impressive.
The Callisto Protocol’s director @GlenSchofield gives us a deep-dive discussing this brutal horror game’s atmosphere, tension, and more, ending with the world premiere debut of a brand-new trailer.

The Callisto Protocol transports us to Jupiter’s lifeless moon in the year 2320, where we experience it through the eyes of Jacob Lee, a prisoner at Black Iron.
If Lee wants to have any chance of making it out of this place alive, he needs to figure out how to stay alive during an epidemic that is actually tearing through the prison population, and he also needs to learn the secrets of the United Jupiter Company.
We don’t know about you, but the gore-filled action in the launch video, blended with King Elliot’s “Lost Again,” fills us with the inspiration and strength to confront the horrors that are waiting for us on December 2nd. King Elliot’s “Lost Again” can be heard in the background of the trailer.
If you are interested in learning more about this terrifying-looking horror game, we had a conversation earlier this year with the Chief Technology Officer of Striking Distance Studio about how the development team wants the game to be as “realistic” as it possibly can be and how the game has been designed so that it can be expanded with additional content in the future.

During the course of our conversation, we also touched upon the reasons why the developer believes that the Xbox Game Pass business model is “challenging” for The Callisto Protocol.
.@GlenSchofield and other Masters of Horror join us to delve into the brutality, atmosphere, helplessness, and humanity of horror in The Callisto Protocol: Mastering Horror Roundtable. Premiering tomorrow at 9:45 AM PST. https://t.co/QTERvJYyvH
