Hey Gamer! After the success of 2019’s Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and its 2023 sequel, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, fans can rejoice as a third installment in the series is officially in development.
The exciting news didn’t come from developer Respawn Entertainment or publisher EA. Still, it was revealed by none other than Cameron Monaghan, the talented actor who portrays Cal Kestis, the series’ beloved protagonist. However, Monaghan remained silent about further details regarding this upcoming game.
As we look ahead, it’s interesting to note that if development for this third game began this year, we could make a guess about its potential release window. Previous patterns show a four-year gap between the releases of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. According to the pattern, we can anticipate the release of this third game in 2027.
When it finally does arrive, it’s likely to be available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. By that time, the PS4 and Xbox One will have become distant memories in the gaming world.
While it’s possible that the game may find its way to the PlayStation 6 and the next Xbox, which aren’t expected until 2028, it won’t happen immediately upon its 2027 release.
Monaghan said during the panel, “We’re in the process of doing it right now. That’s a big undertaking and there have been some conversations so far. Hopefully, when all things are said and done, we’ll be able to go in and make something really cool for you guys again.”
