During the Nintendo Direct presentation, Nintendo confirmed that planned downloadable content (DLC) for Splatoon 3 would be available for purchase as part of a separate Expansion Pass, which is now available for purchase.
The Expansion Pass, which was announced with a teaser showcasing some of the additional material, will give players access to two waves of downloadable content: Wave One, Inkopolis, will be released in the spring, while Wave Two, Side Order, will be released later in the year. Wave 2 Side Order has not yet been scheduled for a precise release date.

Splatoon 3 DLC Release Date
So, what exactly is the downloadable content for Splatoon 3? Inkopolis, the hub world from the original Splatoon, will return in Wave One, giving players a new place to hang out in-between duels. The Booyah Base, a shop where players may outfit their heroes, is also making a comeback as part of the Wave One downloadable content.
There will be a mix of familiar and new faces in the stores, but the goods on sale will be the same as in Splatsville. Those concerned that their Amiibo collection may go to waste need not worry; the Inkopolis hub will function identically to the standard hub in Splatoon 3.
This means that in this retro hub universe, games like Salmon Run, Table Turf Battle, and The Shoal will function normally. The Squid Sisters will be performing at Splatfest events in Inkopolis, so that’s an extra treat. This new single-player storyline, titled Side Order, is part of Wave 2 downloadable content and promises to be a departure from the norm.
The clip features an Inkling in a world devoid of the customary charm and color found in Splatoon, as opposed to the usually bright and brilliant landscapes. Although more information regarding this single-player downloadable content for Splatoon 3 will undoubtedly be presented before its release later this year, the teaser doesn’t provide much in the way of details.
