Skyrim Mod: You may now see your character on the inventory screen thanks to the recently released Skyrim hack known simply as Show Player in Menus. Given that you can do this in almost every other Elder Scrolls game, this may not seem like much, but the mod is actually a rather amazing piece of software engineering.
A Skyrim Script Extender mod that turns the camera to face the player in menus is what the mod’s creator, MyztikRice, calls the work.
The mod’s features “include choices for player and camera position and rotation of the character in menus with additional mod compatibility for mods like SmoothCam/TDM and works in Inventory/ Container/ Barter/ Magic menus,” according to its description.
The mod was “built on Oblivion Style Inventory and upgraded for SE/ AE utilizing CommonLibSSE-NG,” claims MyztikRice. Actually, a project called Oblivion Style Inventory Character View pulled achieved this technical wonder a few years ago, making your character visible in the inventory screen for the second time.
On the other side, the mod was a little underdeveloped, which led to some rather major problems and glitches that frequently broke the camera. However, Show Player in Menus generally functions well.
The mod offers a number of customizable features, including the option to turn off camera movement while in combat or when opening the inventory. While viewing their character, players can also see a certain armor piece floating in the air.
Even though these are relatively modest upgrades, having the option to personalize your gameplay is always a plus.

According to reports, MyztikRice made the mod compatible with the majority of user interface upgrades as well as a number of camera enhancements including SmoothCam, Customizable Camera, ImprovedCameraSE, and even more substantial updates like True Directional Movement and Skyrim Souls RE.
When it comes to installation, Show Player in Menus has a lot of requirements, including SKSE. In addition to SkyUI, you also require Address Library for SKSE Plugins and MCM Helper.
A few known issues with the mod have been reported, according to MyztikRice, including the fact that “when in first person or with a weapon readied, opening an enabled menu at extreme angles beyond eye level will retain the same angle within the menu” and that “when booking 3D previews are disabled, the book animation will start from off the screen.”
