In the most recent remake of Resident Evil 4, one of the game’s most well-known and notorious Easter eggs reappears with a creative and unexpected twist.
According to a recent announcement from Capcom, the Resident Evil 4 remake is currently the second-fastest-selling game in the franchise’s history, the high-profile remake of the survival horror classic has been a critical and commercial success.
Resident Evil 4 was the first entry in the genre to move away from strict survival horror and toward more action-oriented gameplay when it was first launched on the Nintendo GameCube in 2005.
Resident Evil 4 received high praise from many players for striking a near-perfect balance between satisfying fighting and authentic shocks, in contrast to its two sequels, which were condemned for favoring action over the series’ horror roots.

Resident Evil 4’s corny speech and many of the game’s Easter eggs were happily preserved despite the recent remake of the survival horror hit giving the game a graphical upgrade for modern technology.
An updated version of one of Resident Evil 4’s most notorious easter eggs made it into the remake while receiving a hilarious upgrade that calls out the player, according to a new video shared to the r/residentevil forum by user DisketteDetective.
When Resident Evil 4 first came out, gamers who tried to covertly peek up Ashley Graham’s skirt would be called out by the first daughter, who would yell at Leon, “You pervert!” The Easter egg has been altered, and the player is now the object of Ashley’s wrath, as shown in the video.
Ashley now glares directly at the camera instead of yelling at Leon, making it plain to the player that she understands what they were attempting to do.
Well I’ll be damned, they kept the Ashley "You pervert" Easter Egg in, but now she just glares at the camera lol

Many Redditors who commented on the video praised Capcom for modernizing the Resident Evil 4 Easter egg for the remake, however, some users thought Ashley should have gone a little further with her response.
One response emphasized how Neir Automata and Replicant both chastised players for trying to look up characters’ skirts, and another comment humorously mentioned how Sam Bridges from Norman Reedus’ Death Stranding would attack the camera if players looked at his crotch for an extended period.

One commenter loved how Ashley broke the fourth wall in the new Easter egg and identified the player as the real pervert instead of Leon. Ashley is obviously not scared to confront players for trying to invade her privacy, so perhaps Resident Evil 4 players will have a little more regard for her modesty.
However, Resident Evil 4’s frightening narrative is peppered with certain scenes starring Leon and Ashley that are unquestionably more family-friendly.
