Redfall Game Release Date: According to reports, Redfall, an upcoming open-world vampire-slaying game from Dishonored creator Arkane Studios, will debut in May 2023. A new source claims the title is aiming for a May first week release date, though things could change if everything doesn’t go as expected.
Redfall was supposed to debut in 2022, but Bethesda postponed it along with Starfield to this year. The plot of Redfall centers on a band of outcasts tasked with freeing the charming titular town from the grasp of vampire invaders that have taken over the region.
Despite looking like a typical Arkane game in every other regard, such as its distinctive art style and gameplay, it will let players complete the campaign alone or in co-op (up to four players). According to a recent rumor from Windows Central, Redfall is aiming for a release this year in the first week of May if development proceeds as planned.
Additionally, Bethesda reaffirmed its intention to release Starfield within the following six months. Both games will only be available on PC and Xbox Series X/S. In 2022, Microsoft struggled with the Activision Blizzard contract that was still in place but was frequently disputed by Sony on issues including the Call of Duty franchise’s exclusivity.

Xbox did not receive any significant AAA releases last year, except for lesser titles like Pentiment from Obsidian Entertainment and High on Life from Squanch Games. As games like Starfield, Redfall, and Forza Motorsport are anticipated to come in 2023, this could change this year.
Xbox is also developing first-party exclusives from Ninja Theory’s Hellblade II: Senua’s Saga, Obsidian Entertainment’s Avowed and The Outer Worlds 2, and Playground Games’ reimagined Fable. Microsoft has not yet provided any significant updates on the progress of these games.
Xbox's 1st order of business for 2023 should be to get some concrete release dates out there ASAP.
The longer 2023 goes w/o firm dates for Starfield, Redfall, & Forza Motorsport, the worse the already-bad "Xbox has no games" narrative will get.
