What is the release date for Poppy Playtime Chapter 3? Chapter 2: Fly in a Web was the Last installment of Poppy Playtime, and it left us both happy to have evaded Mommy Long Legs and eager to see what would come next.
The Poppy Playtime games are an intriguing blend of horror micro-scenarios, with various horrific mini-games interspersed throughout the broader plot.
The Poppy Playtime Chapter 2 assigned the player a few rounds of whack-a-mole, red light green light, and a particularly twisted round of Simon Says. What will the indie game’s next chapter be about, and when will Poppy Playtime Chapter 3 be released?

After a very long wait, the date was finally disclosed, along with the final trailer for Deep Sleep, the third Poppy Playtime installment.
CatNap, as the name implies, is a large fluffy cat that sends players to sleep – but since this is Poppy Playtime, it’s far from cuddly. Watch the new trailer below for the entire unveiling.

Chapter 3, initially scheduled for December, will allow players to explore the decaying orphanage Playcare for the first time in the series, and it is expected to be larger and (of course) scarier than prior games.
“We can’t wait for players to experience Chapter 3, which is full of sinister twists and turns,” said Zach Belanger, co-founder and CEO of developer Mob Entertainment.
“Many questions were left unresolved in Chapter 2, and with Chapter 3 being our largest installment yet, fans will finally get answers to some of their long-awaited queries. But new questions will be raised, and players may have to wait a little longer for answers!”
Along with CatNap, players will encounter The Smiling Critters and use new hand talents as they learn more about the abandoned toy factory.
If you haven’t played Poppy Playtime, the horror series is well-known for its warped infantile vision and horrific Huggy Wuggy adversary.
Poppy Playtime Chapter 3 Story
We now know as much about Poppy Playtime Chapter 3 as we will before the game’s release, including who the primary antagonist is, where the chapter takes place, and what we can expect from this third life-or-death challenge.
At the end of Chapter 2, we crashed a train before passing out, and the last thing we saw before our eyes closed was a Playcare sign. We now have information that Playcare is a subsidiary of Playtime Co, a reputed charitable orphanage, school, and play place for young children. Now it’s a dangerous wilderness.
As we discovered in one of the many promos and movies below, the Smiling Critters are a collection of charming plushies created by the all-too-familiar Playtime Co.
They may appear innocent at first appearance, but Playtime toys have a history of malfunctioning, and CatNap, our major foe, transformed from a pleasant companion to assist youngsters in sleep to a lethal menace to their lives.
At Poppy Playtime Chapter 3, Deep Sleep, we find ourselves at The Dome, a section of the abandoned Playcare where CatNap and the Smiling Critters still roam.
With five new objectives to complete in Chapter 3, we can expect some assistance from the reintroduction of the GrabPack, which includes some upgrades and new goodies. Just one of these is the gas mask seen in previous trailers and footage, which will enable us to withstand CatNap’s poisonous gas.
While we’re assured that our encounter with the Critters will provide us with “answers to some of long-awaited questions” about Playtime Co., Zach Belanger, co-founder and CEO of Mob Entertainment, confirms that “new questions will also be raised which players may need to wait a little bit longer to have answered!”, implying that Chapter 4 will continue the story.
