The Teal Mask, a big addition to the Pokémon Scarlet & Violet games, is about to be released soon. It comes with a new story in a different place than the main game, and it introduces new Pokémon while bringing back some old favourites.
This new adventure connects to the main game’s story. We’ll tell you when you can start playing Pokémon Scarlet & Violet: The Teal Mask in your time zone.
What is The Teal Mask DLC about?
The Teal Mask DLC takes players to a mysterious island called Area Zero, where a hidden civilization lives under the rule of a masked leader. The island is home to many rare and exotic Pokémon, some of which are exclusive to the DLC. Players will also encounter a new rival, a mysterious girl named Lila, who is searching for the secrets of Area Zero.
The Teal Mask DLC will feature a new story, new characters, new locations, new items, new moves and new Pokémon. Players will also be able to access the Area Zero Pokédex, which contains over 100 Pokémon from previous generations and new forms of existing Pokémon.

Pokémon Scarlet & Violet: The Teal Mask Preload
Right now, there’s no news about being able to preload the DLC for Pokemon Scarlet & Violet in advance. Even though you can do this for the main game on the Nintendo eShop before it’s released, it’s not something that usually happens for extra content. There were a few times when they did allow pre-loading for DLC as they did with Xenoblade Chronicles 2.
