Since March is almost here, it’s time to make some guesses about Sony’s free PlayStation Plus games. Around this time, PlayStation Plus subscribers scour the web for any rumors, leaks, and official announcements they can find about the following games and other content available for digital download.
Sony has been killing it in 2023, and we can’t wait to see what they have in store for us next month with PS Plus Essential, PS Plus Extra, and PS Plus Premium.
Sony has updated PS Plus with 14 new titles for PS Plus Extra and three new games for PS Plus Premium this week. Resident Evil 7, The Quarry, and Horizon: Forbidden West are just a few examples of the high quality of these games. Well, that’s not too bad.
For PS Plus Extra, the New Additions are:
- Oninaki (PS4)
- Tekken 7 (PS4)
- Lost Sphear (PS4)
- I Am Setsuna (PS4)
- Outriders (PS4 | PS5)
- The Quarry (PS4 | PS5)
- Scarlet Nexus (PS4 | PS5)
- Borderlands 3 (PS4 | PS5)
- Earth Defense Force 5 (PS4)
- The Forgotten City (PS4 | PS5)
- Resident Evil 7: Biohazard (PS4)
- Horizon Forbidden West (PS4 | PS5)
- Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown (PS4)
For PS Premium:
- Wild Arms 2 (PSOne)
- The Legend of Dragoon (PSOne)
- Harvest Moon: Back to Nature (PSOne)
Sony provided Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order, Fallout 76, and Axiom Verge 2 to PS Plus Essential customers in January. Sony has also recently announced the termination date for the PlayStation Plus Collection, so make sure to download all the games you want before it’s too late. It certainly can’t all be good news! When Will Sony Release the Free PlayStation Plus Games for the Next Month?
Every month, on the last Wednesday, Sony announces the PS Plus Essential games for the following month. But that doesn’t always happen. In fact, Sony announces the PS Plus roster on the Wednesday before the first Tuesday of each month. Since that March’s first Tuesday is the seventh, Sony will make their PS Plus announcement on March 1st.
PS Plus March Leaks, Rumors, And Predictions
We have no leaks to go on right now, not even bad ones, but we expect to hear something by next Wednesday. If it happens, we’ll update this post.
As of right now, rumors are just as unreliable as facts because there are no solid indicators to depend on. 7ths Romancelvania, a side-scrolling dating simulator set in the vampire subgenre, is the only game we can discover releasing on March 7. We wouldn’t put money into it, but that could happen with PS Plus.
Considering that Sony’s latest virtual reality headset, the PSVR 2, was announced earlier today, it’s also likely that the company will give away a few of them for free in the month of March.
We can also create games and forecasts for the wish list added to this. The list is as follows:
- Sifu
- Elden Ring
- The Order 1886
- Nier: Automata
- Cult Of The Lamb
- Insurgency Sandstorm
- Fenyx: Immortals Rising
- Sackboy: A Big Adventure
Ghost of Tsushima: Legends, the online component of that amazing game, was released in March. The whole thing might come this month.
In December, we made a few (admittedly rare) accurate forecasts, one of which was the release date of Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order. If not, perhaps one of these will prove correct. Your forecasts for what? Share your thoughts with us on Twitter or Facebook.
Hogwarts Legacy was the most popular video game in February and so far in 2023. In spite of our enthusiasm, we wish there were more Persona 5 elements in the game.
