Recently, Sony introduced a redesigned PlayStation Plus service with three membership categories (Essential, Extra, and Premium).
The Essential tier provides the same advantages as the previous PS Plus program, such as monthly “free” games for the PS4 and PS5, access to online multiplayer, and PS Store discounts.
Like Xbox Game Pass, the 400 PS4 and PS5 games available through the Extra and Premium tiers can be downloaded.

Along with time-limited game trials, the Premium tier also provides a variety of PS1, PS2, and PSP games for download and PS3 games via cloud streaming.

The PlayStation Plus games for July are Arcadegeddon (PS5/PS4), The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan (PS4), and Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time (PS5/PS4).
Each month’s midpoint will see a new PlayStation Plus refresh, adding new games to the Extra and Premium tiers.
