Niantic is hosting a one-day event in Pokemon GO as part of the April Fools’ Day festivities. Pidgey Pandemonium for April Fowl’s Day begins on Saturday, April 1, at 1 PM local time and ends six hours later at 7 PM local time.
The gen 1 Normal/Flying-type Pidgey, one of the most fundamental Pokemon ever, will also be more likely to be found during this event. Also, players of Pokemon GO can engage in some Field and Special Research missions.
Pidgey Pandemonium Special Research Tasks and Rewards
Let’s get this out of the way: During the event, one Field Research activity calls for players to Transfer 3 Pokémon. Three Poke Balls and a Pidgey encounter are the prizes for doing this.
At about 3 PM local time, the Pidgey Pandemonium Special Research will begin to show up in-game. For the research, there are simply the following steps:
Step 1
- Catch 10 Pokemon (25 Poke Balls)
- Transfer 10 Pokemon (5 Potions)
- Make 5 Nice Throws (5 Nanab Berries)
- Total Rewards: 1000 Stardust, Pidgey Encounter, and 5 Razz Berries
Step 2
- Claim Reward (10 Ultra Balls)
- Claim Reward (5 Hyper Potions)
- Claim Reward (3500 XP)
- Total Rewards: 3000 Stardust, Pidgey Encounter, 15 Pidgey Candy
How to Evolve Pidgey
To evolve a captured Pidgey, Pokémon GO players can go to their Pokemon storage. Pidgey evolves into Pidgeotto after 12 Pidgey Candy, while Pidgeot evolves into Pidgeot after 50 Candy.
To receive more Pidgey Candy at the catch results page, players should utilize Pinap Berries whenever they discover Pidgey in the wild. Pokemon GO users can anticipate the Spring into Spring event, which begins on April 4, after the April Fool event concludes.
Ribombee and Cutiefly will make their Pokemon GO debuts, and some Pokemon—like the Eevee and Pichu evolution lines—will even have cherry blossoms on their heads.
