One player in Blizzard’s Overwatch 2 hero shooter ended up dead the moment they left the spawn spot due to an odd fault in one of the levels. With the launch of Overwatch 2 Season 4, which included the introduction of a new hero, Lifeweaver, and a plethora of gameplay adjustments, the well-liked free-to-play game recently underwent a significant update.
Overwatch 2 was first shown at BlizzCon 2019 and received a mixed response from gamers due to the astounding success of Blizzard’s first attempt at first-person shooters.
While some applauded the transition to a free-to-play model, several fans of the first Overwatch expressed annoyance with the high-profile sequel’s what they perceived to be an excessive number of microtransactions.

With a constant stream of updates introducing new heroes and content to Overwatch 2, Blizzard has managed to win over some gamers wary of the divisive sequel despite this rocky start. Blizzard recently revealed adjustments to Lifeweaver’s controls to make the character less unpleasant to play with a controller after receiving complaints from certain players.
Redditor The_frost__ just uploaded a new video to r/Overwatch in which they describe how playing on the Telantis map abruptly and unexpectedly ended their life as the Omnic hero Ramattra.
The video’s first scene shows The_frost__ and their comrades gathered at the map’s spawn location, eagerly anticipating the door opening. The_frost__ rushes forward as the match starts, shockingly dying as soon as they touch the ground. Fortunately, a Mercy nearby can help them stand up and rejoin the battle immediately.
So apparently you can randomly die when coming out of Telantis spawn 💀

Redditors who watched the video and commented on it thought the peculiar glitch was hilarious. One commenter said Ramattra “tripping and dying has no right to be this funny.”
Some users, searching for a reason for Omnic’s sudden demise, theorized that the door might have somehow crushed The_frost__ as it opened. Redditors laughed at Mercy’s carefree rezzing of the unexpectedly deceased Ramattra, prompting one commenter to quip that it was “just another day in the life” of the angelic Overwatch 2 healer.

Some players might mind their step before rushing off into a fight the next time they find themselves on the oceanic map after witnessing Ramattra have such a severe stumble in Telantis. And while losing right away in the middle of a round can be annoying, it did make for one of the more memorable Overwatch 2 match openings in recent memory.
