This new Dying Light RPG may be the apogee of the perfect union of video game and tabletop gaming, which seems to be happening more than ever before.
In 2015, Techland launched the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One versions of Dying Light. It was, in many respects, Techland’s 2011 game Dead Island’s spiritual successor before the studio went on to Dying Light.
With the release of Dying Light 2: Stay Human in 2022, the Dying Light series continued to expand and improve upon its predecessor in several ways.
With the launch of Dying Light: The Board Game on Kickstarter, the post-apocalyptic zombie series has entered the realm of tabletop role-playing games developed by Glass Cannon Unplugged and Techland.

The board game version will have the same day/night cycle mechanics as the original, with zombies getting stronger as the sun goes down, and it will support one to four players.
Your gains, though, will be larger if you get the courage to go out into the night amidst the ravenous throngs. That is, supposing you make it through the night unscathed.
One of the series’ defining features, parkour, will be included in Dying Light: The Board Game as well. Good role-playing games (RPGs) have you level up your character as you walk through the city and accomplish objectives.
In addition to a board modeled like Dying Light’s streets, the game will have 3D architecture and, of course, a plethora of miniatures to further immerse the player.
Backers of the Dying Light: The Board Game Kickstarter campaign has the option to select between the basic or deluxe reward tiers. In contrast to the deluxe pledge, which includes more miniatures and the ‘Infected Miniatures’ expansion, the ordinary pledge only includes the core box and all stretch goals.
In little over twenty days, the campaign to support Dying Light: The Board Game will come to a close. Just £1 will get you started, and when the pledge manager opens later, you can always adjust your order—something I do quite a bit—if you don’t have the cash on hand right now.
The planned release date for Dying Light: The Board Game is June of this year, barring any manufacturing delays.
