Mortal Kombat fans, rejoice! The beta dates for the upcoming Mortal Kombat 1 have been announced by NetherRealm Studios, and you can join the fight if you pre-order the game. Here’s everything you need to know about the Mortal Kombat 1 beta: how to get access when it starts and ends, what modes and characters are available, and more.
How to Get Access to the Mortal Kombat 1 Beta?
The Mortal Kombat 1 beta is exclusive to players who pre-ordered the game, either the Standard, Premium, or Collector’s Edition of MK1. The beta is playable only on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X consoles. There is no beta for Nintendo Switch or PC players, unfortunately.
If you have pre-ordered the game digitally, you will receive a code via email that you can redeem on your console’s store. If you have pre-ordered the game physically, you will receive a code from your retailer to redeem on your console’s store. You can also pre-order the game from the official website and get a code.
You can preload the beta version before it starts so that you can jump into the action as soon as possible. However, you will need an active internet connection and a PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live Gold subscription to play online.
When Does the Mortal Kombat 1 Beta Start and End?
The Mortal Kombat 1 beta will begin on Friday, August 18, at 11 a.m. EDT/8 a.m. PDT, and run through Monday, August 21, at 11 a.m. EDT/8 a.m. PDT. That means you will have four days to test your skills and experience the new features of MK1.
The beta is not the game’s final version so you may encounter some bugs or glitches during your gameplay. You can report issues or feedback to NetherRealm Studios through their official channels.
