Modern Warfare 2’s Taraq Map: A Player’s Critique!

A player of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has discovered a possible glitch in the Taraq map. At the debut, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 included a respectable number of maps, some of which were more optimal for online play than others.

T-King-667 indicates where the UAV is, confirming that it is obscured by smoke or clouds. The player notes that it is their job to destroy UAVs to prevent adversaries from learning their unit’s position but that doing so in Taraq’s weather is exceedingly challenging.

An El Asilo map user said the same issue exists there, claiming that the UAV’s flight path makes it difficult to hit them even with a locked-on missile. Fans question the discrepancy in the heights of UAVs and CUAVs in Modern Warfare 2, and one player confirms this by saying that some PILA rockets fly past UAVs while having a lock-on.

While T-King-667 singles out the map’s cloudiness as the primary reason he dislikes it, fan reaction appears more nuanced than that. One player even claims that after Modern Warfare 2 came out, they’ve come to like playing on Taraq even more.

Another player says that Taraq is perfect for them because they prefer large, comprehensive maps in their Call of Duty games, and a fan of Modern Warfare 2 says they enjoy training their sniper guns here the most.

While these issues may be more noticeable on some levels than others in Modern Warfare 2, the game still features a respectable range of map sizes. Two new maps, Shoot House and Shipment were added to Modern Warfare 2 shortly after its release, but they are reimaginings of previously existing maps.
